Have been going here for over 5 years! Is one of the best japanese places I have been to- and super affordable. Definitely a must visit if youre in Leicester Square and need a quick bite to eat.

Went with a friend for lunch. I had the beef bento box. The beef was full of grizzle and fat and not very nice. The place is cheap for a reason. I couldn't spot a single Japanese staff. The staff looked Indian and were not anything like as good at service as a good Japanese restaurant. Won't be going back.

Seems like they're desperare for employees that they hire anyone from what it seems. The staff had terrible attitudes. We were desperately searching for any instance of good customer service but was not met with any. Please use the 12.5% service charge you add to everyone's bills to train your staff properly.

Came back here recently with friends for lunch after a while. We were seated quickly and attended to quickly as well. Service was fairly fast, prices are affordable as usual, and all the food tasted great! I did notice that staff did hover a little bit while we were eating. But overall, another good experience, will be returning soon!

Actually there are 3 chefs at the counter, no one is Japanese, they all speak Chinese, also talking without any masks at the operating table. Also I asked the server if the two chefs on the menu are here, they liar to me they are in the basement. They are all Chinese, so it’s obviously not original Japanese restaurants, but the foods are okay.

Let's be clear, this is not the finest sushi in town.But, the extensive menu is very good value by today's standards.For example, the sushi bento box at £20 contains acceptable tempura vegetables, chirashi,sushi and sashimi.Its a bustling place because it is good value and the service is brisk rather than doting.Pay more if you want fine dining.This place is a good introduction to Japanese food.

We have been Sunday night here at Eat Tokyo, and the night started really well, food was amazing I just want to make sure that, but the one star is because our waitress “BARBIE” was extremely rude to us from the first moment, when she came to the table to ask if we were ready and we were not, she roll her eyes on us, and aggressively said “you got to order now because is last order” than my friend unfortunately drop her drink on table and when she ask for another one she ‘s been literally told “You gonna pay for it because it’s your fault and not us”. I have been enjoying my experience at Eat Tokyo SoHo, Old Crumpton, London for a very long time. This afternoon is my first opportunity to finally say hello a senior staff who has been looking after me at this particular branch, for as long as I remember, his name is KIM. FOOD and SERVICE at this Eat Tokyo, SOHO is way much better than Covent Garden and Hammersmith combined! The staff are much more attentive, and seeing KIM at the branch can guarantee two things, 1st the queue will run at the most reasonable time; I was made to wait 30+ minutes at Covent Garden during less busy hours and the restaurant was semi emptied at the time of visit.
