We had dinner at this restaurant on November 5th and it was delicious. The atmosphere of the pub was cozy and welcoming. We had a wonderful Sunday lunch here with our toddler and extended family. It’s really close to talkin tarn which is a lovely country park for walks with kids. The Duke of Cumberland was welcoming and cosy with great menu choice, delicious food and reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again!

We have just returned from a fantastic meal here with our daughters and family. The service was excellent off Sophie, Lucy and the other staff members. The food was tremendous, especially the steak pie. Would highly recommend! 10/10 all round.. we will return for sure.. thanks again for an amazing meal.

I had a wonderful experience at this pub last week and decided to visit again this week. The atmosphere is perfect with a roaring fire and friendly locals. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. It is also dog-friendly, which is a bonus. The location is great for walks around the lake and reservoir, and it is convenient for visiting Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall, Brampton, and even Scotland. It truly feels like a peaceful getaway in The Lakes without the crowds and busy atmosphere. Voir le carte

We were staying in the area and popped in to book a table for Sunday dinner, the staff were all really friendly and nice and the place had a lovely ambience to it. I usually like roast beef but unfortunately it had sold out so opted for the pork and all the trimmings. All very tasty and enjoyable. Really happy they were able to offer alternative zero alcohol drinks instead of the usual soft drinks, I had the gin which made a nice change. Would definitely recommend it here and would return if in the area.

We ate here at lunchtime on Friday. I went in to check that dogs were welcome and found they loved dogs and were very accommodating. We ordered 4 different meals and every one was excellent quality. They were flavoursome and plentiful. The staff made you extremely welcome, it was 3 sisters. They were so friendly. All in all we would strongly recommend you call in. We would call in on a regular basis if we didn't live in South Yorkshire. Well done ladies on a beautiful pub which hopefully we will be back.

We decided to celebrate my birthday with lunch at The Duke of Cumberland. There were 8 of us in our group, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us by ordering items that were not on the menu to ensure everyone was satisfied. The food was exceptional! Every single person was pleased with their meal, although some found the portions too large for their appetites. The quality of the food was excellent, with everything tasting fresh and homemade. From the starters to the desserts, we were thoroughly impressed. The pub had a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff were all friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning in the future.
