"This is the best typical' German food I've had in the past 5 months living here. The friendly and helpful waiter recommended the items from the Oktoberfest menu as that was their specials. I started with a salad that was great. Properly dressed, excellent dressing...that wasn't watery and the small beans a nice addition. My wife's pumpkin soup with toasted pumpkin seeds was great too. My main I got the Farmers plate that had 1/4 duck, slice of roasted pork and pork knuckle. The duck had crispy, slightly salty (that's good) skin and the meat was moist! The pork knuckle was so tender and not cooked. I now know why this is always on menus here. Again, when done correctly, great. The pork roast very good. I thought I would need more gravy but the moist duck and pork knuckle didn't need it. My wife got the Münchener Pork Roast. That too was delicious. The sides of potato dumplings and red cabbage were enormous and served family style. Potato dumplings light and airy really good. Slightly under seasoned but with the slightly salty gravy perfect. Red cabbage really sweet and sour. Only criticism is the tomato and cumber on the salad need salt, and no salt or pepper on the table. I would also asked for only 1/2 of the sides. I hate to waste food and it was too much. They also have their own beers and a good selection of local wines. We came on a Sunday night at 6 and the place was already busy. Good amount of locals. Last plus, the atmosphere is great. Exposed wood beam walls, hops strung around the ceiling, really nice."

Friendly staff, fast service, very good food. Not many German restaurants serve duck. This does, and the duck is crispy and delicious.

Visiting Speyer with a friend and visited for quick lunch after Cathedral visit. Had local white sausage, pretzel and sweet mustard. Was not sure to start with but was assured it be ok and it was. Pleasant staff who spoke English if you wished. Very...good.

we were in the domhof before summer, but in this januar my son and I had to fill out two evenings. we found a cozy table and had two pleasant evenings, served by charming employees. it was busy but fun. eating is also really good. and the beer was very pale. although speyers hauptattraktion (the cathedrale) was so close, the prices were not a torn. a visit worth.

in the middle of the evening in the adjacent hotel. decided to eat in the domhof as it was close. a Bavarian buffet was served and so the restaurant was busy with local and tourist. traditional live-German music was played that was too. the atmosphere that was strangely live for a Tuesday night. we ate from the main menu and the steaks were very good. a few local beers went well down. service was excellent and the staff very friendly. beautiful evening.

Domhof is an institution in Speyer, and you can watch at the entrance pictures of many famous visitors like for example former chancellor Helmut Kohl. However the traditional kitchen is only (good) average serving any typical Palatina dish, but I would definitely go for...another restaurant when looking for a culinary experience. On the other hand, if you’re a big group looking for fun whilst drinking house made beer, this is the right place to be (hence it can be very noisy).

A proper biergarten is not an easy thing to find and the Domhof does it exceedingly well. Lots of shade, great beer and good food. Lots of space to find a quiet place to enjoy the afternoon and take a break. If I hadn't noticed...Domhof out of the corner of my eye while seeing the DOM I would not have made it. I did not hear any tourists while here and found the local folk to be very friendly and conversational. Service was great, timely and friendly. Very nice to have quality pretzels available. If you like the sweet mustard then you will be glad to know that it is available on prime.

"Mr The Anh Nguyen, the owner and also the chef of Le Cyclo, interprets a few traditional Vietnamese dishes using seasonal ingredients, fresh herbs, spices and aromatics. All his creations are served with French elegance. We were a big group of 18 people, so we made reservations in advance and requested several traditional Vietnamese dishes not featured on the standard menu. When people think of Vietnamese cuisine, what comes to mind is “Goi Cuôn” - fresh summer rolls that are ubiquitous in Vietnam. So it makes sense that our dinner starts off with them. Another popular appetizer is “Bò lá lôt” - lightly spiced minced beef rolls wrapped with wild betel leaves and grilled to perfection. “Banh khot” are quintessential appetizers - mini pancakes made with rice flour, minced shrimps and spring onions, golden, crispy and savory. “Chao Tôm” is a traditional appetizer where seasoned shrimp paste is moulded around a sugarcane skewer. Our main dishes are typical home-cooked dishes shared family-style, served with white jasmine rice. We had tasty “Bap Cai Cuôn thit ga-tom Hap Nước Mắm Gung”, which was basically steamed chicken-and-prawn roulade in a fresh ginger-Nước Mắm sauce; “Cá Kho Tô” - considered as comfort food by many Vietnamese, the fish develops a sweet-savory gooeyness from the sugar and fish sauce over the course of a long braise; simple but tasty chicken omelette; and “Rau Muong” stir-fried with garlic - a staple green veggie in Vietnam (if Vietnam declared a national vegetable, it’d probably be this).Due to its colorful history marked with several occupations, colonization period and foreign influence, Vietnam is a real melting pot of various culinary traditions. From a complicated Chinese to a delicate Japanese, a bit over-spiced Thai, highly distinctive Cambodian, beautiful Indian and super gastronomic French - we are happy to report our tastebuds went on a delicious culinary adventure to Le Cyclo!"
