Doddington Cafe And

The service at this restaurant was exceptional. I went for lunch and was impressed with the food, as well as the kind and friendly service. I highly recommend this place for delicious, freshly prepared food and welcoming staff.

What a delight our lunch was. I had the kitchen garden budda bowl with halloumi. It was super tasty, really delicious with lovely fresh ingredients. My friend had quiche, salad a bowl of hand cut chips. Again all delicious, nicely presented therefore great value for money

I took my mum for a birthday lunch , she had fish and chips . She said it was the best fish and chips she had ever had , even the peas were so tasty . I had a vegan meal which too was wonderful . They even did me a special vegan garlic flat bread to go with it . Really made my mum’s birthday , thank you . Definitely going again

We ordered cake and coffee. I took my cake to the table which I will say wasn't clean so my partner requested someone clean it. I ate my cake while we waited and waited for the coffee to arrive. I appreciate they might have been busy but when 5 staff are just standing at the counter chatting away ignoring dirty tables and customers

The Afternoon Tea was a gift from our daughter and it didn't disappoint. The staff were very friendly, helpful and smartly dressed. The sandwiches were very tasty and the scones absolutely delicious. Plenty of cakes to finish and endless pots of tea. Although it was a gift, at £25 a head I thought it was good value. More than happy to recommend.

Really disappointing food the last few times I've visited I'm afraid to sat. Had the beef bagel on my last visit and it just wasn't good!! Bagel (which was plan and not poppy seed as advertised) wasn't toasted. The beef was OK but the amount of burger sauce they put on it made the whole thing inedible! It was absolutely swimming in burger sauce and didn't taste at all nice. Have been many times and it's gotten quite hit and miss of late.

We joined a waiting queue at a busy time was soon approached by friendly managers Katrina another lady(name unknown)who apologised for the wait. Reservations are not accepted so 1st come 1st served basis.The restaurant/cafe is really well organised by the managers the service was excellent from start to finish.My husband had fish chips whilst i had the pasta dish chosen from the 'daily specials board '.Our food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious.Thank you to the whole team.

The service from the numerous ‘Events Assistants’ was attentive and friendly throughout, without being intrusive. The afternoon tea itself was delightful. I chose the traditional option while my husband went for the savoury tea. Both arrived promptly and presented beautifully on a cake stand, accompanied by a pot of Lincolnshire blend tea. The traditional tea included a good mix of sandwiches (egg, ham, coronation chicken, and pheasant), locally made sausage rolls, and an assortment of sweet treats, along with a large fruit scone. The 3 stars I 've given were based on my experience and not the food as unfortunately we didn 't order anything to eat. Upon arriving, we came to a sign saying please wait here to be seated . A young lady gave us a table number to accommodate our party of five, but we weren 't seated by her and went in the direction she showed (could of done this all by ourselves, unsure why she was there as not very busy). Only one menu, limited choice in price range variation. Would of liked a bacon bap, but this was on the breakfast menu and only served 9-11am I believe, so not an all day option for whatever reason.
