"Yesterday we were invited to dinner and went to DEICHGRAF in the Deichstrasse. We hadn't pre-ordered and just went to blue dunst. We were very kindly received and were lucky that 2 tables were still free. So we looked for the more beautiful and took place. The restaurant I would assign the higher standard, which was also represented by the guests, rather the management floors were represented, and the prices were noticeable. The restaurant is in an old historical house and is beautifully decorated inside. The tables are already covered. In summer you can sit very nicely outside on the Deichstrasse. A little moment later, the service with the menus came and told us the day recommendation. Because they didn't tell us, we studied the menus. The map is very clear, less is often more. There was something for every taste and so we decided quickly. We then waited for another moment for the service, which then took up our food order and immediately wanted to disappear again. And so I asked her if we could order a drink, and she probably noticed her Faux Pas and got a little embarrassed. Well can happen, but shouldn't. After a further short waiting time, the drinks came. They were well tempered and tasted. Meanwhile a bowl of bread with herbal cucumber Dip(? was added. The bread was delicious and the quark harmonized. A while later our food came. We have fed the following • Kutterscholle Finkenwerder type with salt potatoes and small salad The plaice was really big, prepared on the spot and tastefully perfect. The potatoes were placed in an extra dish and were well prepared. The small salad was served on an extra plate and was fresh and crisp. • Winter leaf salad with marinated anti pasti vegetables and fried shrimps – The salad was beautifully dressed fresh and crisp. It matched everything together and was delicious. • Pork medallions with roast potatoes and black-rooted vegetables – the plate was very clear. 3 pork medallions, which were rather very small, a few potatoes and a little root vegetables float in a lake of sauce. I'm actually a solitary fan, but that was too much for me. The medallions were too good, the potatoes and the vegetables were okay. In the meantime, the service was always past the table and asked for the satisfaction and wishes. Conclusion: It was a good meal, but no more. For the price class, I expect a little more. The service was good and the restaurant was very clean. If you want to spend a little more money and eat well, you'll be fine here. Personally, I'm not going to get in there because there are enough other restaurants in the area that appeal to me more. But this is my personal, not objective, opinion"

If you want to try the traditional german cuisine (assuming Germans have one) this is the place. Food is abundant simple and in some case very taste. They have also German red wine that is surprisingly good and perfect for the food. The atmosphere is...the real reason to be there

The restaurant DEICHGRAF is in a quiet street with several outdoor seatings. Well busy and fine decorated. Friendly service. Menüs are on big boards visible. Hausmannskost. Means regular meals from home. Reasonable prices, good food. All was good. When the sun is shining it is...a great place to sit and dine!

I was with my friend in this restaurant and it was just nice. warm and cozy atmosphere through the Christmas decoration, delicious food and friendly staff. we had the labskaus (which was a completely unexpected pleasant surprise) the sirloin, the pumpkin cream and the...cream brulee and we all feel recommended.

This restaurant is outstanding! We have had our annual Christmas Dinner here a few times and are never disappointed. Magret Ismer (owner) and her team are extremely attentive and no wish will go unfulfilled. The food is excellent, the extensive drinks and wine menu leaves...nothing to be missed. Highly recommended!

we went from the elbphilharmonie and enjoyed a beautiful traditional German meal on an outside table on a beautiful summer evening. this restaurant is well rated and popular, so consider a reservation or they must wait for a table. we found the...being friendly and eating very well. the fish soup and the sweet potato soup were both excellent. very recommended! also the rumpsteak and the scholleflokenwerder were very delicious. the weather was cool and that made a fantastic German dinner on a picturesque hamburger road.

I get to know Deichgraf restaurant as a recommendation of a work colleague, living in Frankfurt, who use to visit Hamburg every year in the Christmas time, inclusive this place. In the meanwhile, Deichgraf has become my favorite restaurant to have lunch or dinner with...friends, family and colleagues, visiting me in Hamburg. This place incorporates the rustical-traditional style of the city in the most representative way. Clear, straight-forward dishes, typical hamburger service and great wine. Without any dought, one of the places in Hamburg to get in love with.

Went there for two nights in a row on a recent trip to Hamburg. Because the foid and service was brilliant the first night and it is also a nice place in a quiet street with old buildings to sit outside. First night I went...all Hamburg and tried the infamous Labskaus, followed by the Pannfisch. Pannfisch was excellent pieces and wonderful sauce and potatoes. Next day I went for the Tomato soup with scallops and the Spanferkel pork chops. Again excellent food. The owner helps with service herself and will always have a nice word or some humour for you. Again, highly recommended.

that was a great evening from beginning to end. we got a table on the back of the top floor to see everything that was going on. the wine list had a large selection of local on the glass so we enjoyed. three of them, as well as a Provence rosé for the old time. the menu was very north German and we were spoiled for the choice. we ate the starters of labskaus (kartoffeln, beet root and mint, tasted better than it sounds and soup fish. then venison two away and salmon white fish. all delicate aromas, followed by good coffee with fantastic service throughout. a great meal for our last night in the city

on the search for a good sample of North German food I came in a row of them on a quiet pedestrian side street near the old heart of hamburg. the seasonal decorations on the outside, tended at my arrival. by a welcoming host, who shows me a owner. the service was then excellent, although I was the only customer who sat on an outside table. the menu had a nice selection of options. among my helpful waiter suggestions I discovered lobskaus and a beautiful German reisling. as a solo business traveler and foodie I could not ask for a better experience. but a tourist restaurant is not this – a steady stream of local stuffed the tables during my visit.
