"Super food, service and ambiance (apart from the very loud and frequent beeping that we never figured out what it was!! Our evening was great, catching up with friends after 2 years of lockdown. Great meal and flavours with attentive but not overattentive service. However,...a great evening was rather dampened by the bill, which added a 75p charge for every tiny request ... a bit more coriander 75p, a bit more heat 75p, jalfrezi normal heat 75p. Every tiny request cost us 75p, which quite honestly miffed us off when we already had a bill of over £130 for 4 people. One point to mention was that I asked for a jalfezi without peppers. However 75p wasn't taken from the cost if the meal, but £1.50 was added for coriander and a request for normal jalfrezi heat!!! I understand businesses are trying to recover post COVID, but 75p for extra heat??? Really??? Put a bad taste in our mouths and made us question whether we'd go back!!! Don't eek out every penny from your customers, its not a good business decision in the long term."

Visited on a Wednesday night in March. Banquet night, fixed price £17.95, good value. Food served in good timing and was very nice. Service excellent. Recommended.

Fantastic food from start to finish! Superb quality and fresh ingredients. We were the only ones in the restaurant as we arrived as soon as it opened at 5pm but it still had a lovely ambience. Staff were lovely and friendly.

traveled by kent, as before place due to the visit of peppa pig world and had one of the best Indians we ever had! such a good value and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Eat quickly came out and was child-friendly for our...18 months old. will definitely be back to visit if ever again on this wise, I highly recommend!

Average quality place; for 3 curries, 1 naan 2 portions of rice, 4 popodams and chatney we paid 65£ between 3 of us, which is quite pricy for the food quality we had. I compared the restaurant with Dil Hayat in Bournemouth and the quality...is not even near. Curries were average nice but not the rice. Also the place charges seperate fee for chutneys, which is weird. Won’t be back

"My Wife and I don't travel so well these days but decided to go a little further afield from our usual Highcliffe and Christchurch haunts we live in Mudeford. We went twice in point of fact. The first visit was the 21st June when My wife and I had a quiet Birthday celebration lunch prior to the Family celebration later in the day. It was excellent. We only had the Mains and despite it being busy and not having booked we were served promptly and cheerfully with a round of drinks. My Wife had Chicken Pie and I had Liver and Bacon. Both were excellent and my Wifes vegetables were freshly done. I don't have vegetables. We liked it so much we went back three days later to celebrate our youngest Daughters birthday and again had lunch before the Family celebration later in the day. The meal was as fabulous as three days prior. My Wife had a Chicken Roast, our Daughter had Beef Roast and I had an amazingly well filled Steak and Merlot Pie of the Week. As before the vegetables were freshly done. Unusually for us we also had puddings (Lemon Meringue, Bailey's Cheescake and Apple Tart with Custard. All were excellent. All washed down with Tea and a Latte the former being served in nicely twee Teapots. Total cost £80 for the three of us on the second visit. Worth every penny. All in all First Class and couldn't fault it. Disabled parking nicely located in the front with ample parking for those more mobile at the side and back. Just a note for History buffs. The main building was built in 1853 by John Harrison(? a Carpenter thus the name Carpenters Arms."
