Nice old pub at the top of Polperro. Plenty of outside seating. Menu is pretty much typical pub grub, generous portions, and good quality. Very friendly staff.

A nice pub with good service and and some good choices of beers on the bar, massive beer garden outside to enjoy a pint in the sun across from the bus stop. 10 minutes walk away from the polperro harbour. Didn't stop here so I can't rate the rooms

I stopped for food. I had the pie of the day which was Steak and Ale. The pie was good quality, nice chunks of meat. The mash was good, tasted nice and buttery. It would have been nice if the onion rings were homemade. Apart from that, it’s a nice pub with nice food. Voir le carte

I stopped by for a snack while heading up the hill from Polperro. The sandwiches are quite substantial, generously filled, and come with a side of coleslaw and a handful of crisps. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t comment on the rooms since we were just there for the day.

Stopped in after a days walking. Good range of refreshments, inside full of charm, ample seating outside to make the most of the weather. Quite a few gluten free options on menu as aswell, prices not out of the way. And if you are a bit worn out from the coast path, bus stop is in shuffling distance.

We visited this little gem whilst staying in Polperro last week on our last day and it was a lovely little place. Staff were very friendly. Pub was very clean, including the toilets. Had a very cosy feel about it. We sat outside and the views are lovely. Good range of food and drink, not badly priced and very generous portions. Voir le carte

It was my husband's birthday, and we discovered this charming place in Polperro. The beer-battered fish was absolutely delicious, and the chips were top-notch. The service was prompt, and the staff were friendly and cheerful, giving the place a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. Thank you! We're going back tomorrow for a classic Cornish cream tea.

An amazing place, I only stayed for 2 nights but wish I’d booked for longer. I had the Du Maurier Suite; a quirky suite of rooms above the bar that were really comfortable and had everything I needed. The service at the bar was perfect, always a friendly face to serve you. The menu is quite short but still a good choice. Each room also has a parking space allocated so there’s no issue with parking.

"I really wanted to give this lovely café 5 stars, but I had to mark them down because of the amount of time I was kept waiting just to be acknowledged and eventually served. Upon entering the café I asked at the counter if I had to wait to be seated, the lady told me to grab a table and someone would be with me soon. Twenty minutes I waited to be served, and during that time a lady from another table approached the counter and complained that her party had been waiting for quite some time and still hadn’t been served which proves I wasn’t the only customer who felt like they’d been forgotten about. I should add that I was there around 3.30pm which isn’t exactly peak trading hours. If the café was heaving with customers I could understand the wait, but it really wasn’t that busy, and I felt the customers sat outside were treated as priority rather than customers sat inside which was where I was. Customers who arrived after I did and sat outside were served long before me. I understand that it can get busy, but it would have been nice to have at least been acknowledged, rather than having staff seemingly to purposely ignore making eye contact with me. I was just about to leave when one of the staff saw me and apologised for my wait. I ordered a Chai Latte and toasted tea cake, which didn’t take long to arrive and were delicious. The decor is beautiful, and it really is a lovely café, but for future reference please acknowledge waiting customers, rather than just pretending they aren’t there!"
