"I live local and have been meaning to try it. Didn’t read reviews beforehand. It was a cold welcome. No pleasantries. I felt like I was inconveniencing the manager with my presence, a sentiment that seems to be shared by other reviewers. I had to speak to him a number of times with his back turned before I was acknowledged. He said it’s cash only and I commented that I only had my card and politely stated that it was fine I would have to leave it then. He then checked and card was still possible and so I placed an order. I joked that nobody carries cash these days. This seemed to go down like a lead balloon as I got taught that I should be carrying cash followed by a bit of moaning about why it inconveniences them it in a very serious manner. Order arrived very quickly (around 1 minute from order clearly very fresh). Order of egg fried rice, sweet and sour pork and chicken satay. Didn’t find out until I got home that no chicken satay and a different dish in its place. The food itself was very poor. No significant meat in the pork dish, all batter. Decent amount of rice but flavourless. The dish I received in error (think it was black bean chicken) had rubbery chicken that seemed to be the fluid pumped cheap type with a weird texture. I feel harsh leaving this review but this was my genuine experience and I’d rather an Aldi meal."
