Food came within half hour of ordering. everything we ordered arrived. It was hot and very tasty, large portions with decent prices

I've been going to the China orchid for years and always had a good meal from there. It's only takeaway now, but used to have a decent eating area. Good menu choice and the food is usually always available for collection 15-25 mins which works well.

An absolute waste of £40+ The crispy duck chow mien was greasy, dry, tasteless, with only onions and bean sprouts, no other vegetables included. The starter (chicken, ribs and prawn toast) were over cooked and dry. I travelled 20 miles round trip to visit here because it used to be excellent, I can only imagine the chef had a night off and everything was pre prepped. A real let down Voir le carte

Used to really enjoy the food from here right down to the chips that were freshly cooked every time. Now your lucky to get edible chips and the quality of the food on the whole is not as it was. Unfortunately it's really gone down hill recently. We have given it the benefit of the doubt a few times as everywhere has a bad day but unfortunately its not improved. Corners are clearly being cut and its noticeable. Won't be ordering from here anymore. Such a shame.

I find myself writing again about the China Orchids, Cullompton but this time it is to review their take away service. I ordered a meal to be delivered very early on a Saturday evening hoping to beat the rush. It arrived exactly on time, hot and well packaged and the portions were generous and delicious. We felt that everything was freshly cooked the biggest crispy coated, tasty spring roll ever, superb chicken satay and chicken and sweetcorn soup. The star of the meal and a new experience for us was the mixed Malayan sambal and we are keen to try this again next time we order. I did sent the Chinese a email as thought it was decent to see if they wished to comment back on my review but have heard nothing back. Tonight we ordered about £40 worth of food, which was 2 main dishes a rice and a noodle, and 2 sides. I’ve been to other Chinese’s which were a lot better and were at least £10-£15 cheaper. This one was really disappointing. I had the kung po chicken, special rice and seaweed out of the order and the chicken dish was so salty it was all I could taste and so had no more than 1-2 mouthfuls. My partner had the duck in black bean sauce and again it was overly salty this too was barely touched after the first mouthful. The rice, and noodles were fine. As a result... Voir le carte
