"As an American arriving in Berlin 10 years ago, my first week was spent in Wedding, which at the time was less than appealing. Everything was completely foreign to me, especially the food. I've always enjoyed new experiences, but when everything is new, eventually you long for something familiar. Moving to Prenzlauer Berg, I started to get a footing, and the first place that did it for me was Casa Istoria. A lovely atmosphere, friendly service (even when they were swamped - which was most of the time), and especially their Sunday Brunch! Once I discovered it, I was there every Sunday. Yes, I tried other places, but Istoria was where I always returned. After moving a few years ago, no longer in P-Berg, I lost touch with the place. Last weekend, finding myself near Casa Istoria on a Sunday morning, I was looking forward to enjoying my old haunt and... Meh, NOT impressed. The place still looks good, the waiter was friendly, when he could be pried away from his favorite spot - chatting with the bartender, but the food was seriously disappointing. The signature Chicken Parmesan, and Penne in a Vodka Sauce of days gone by had been replaced with scrawny chicken legs in an oily gray sauce, and plain Penne with tomato sauce waved over it, doused with cheese. The price had gone up, as I would expect, but the selections had dramatically decreased, which was a disappointment, especially since the few things offered were really unappealing. There were so few enjoyable looking choices I had to get my Є10.50 worth solely in meatballs, which I admit, we good. I would have rated this even lower, but I'm hoping the powers that be at Istoria will think again and strive to regain a bit of their former glory. I certainly hope so."

the location is great, directly on the lively and popular colllwitz site I tried the Saturday buffet. (for eur) the taste and the variation is quite.

dear team, dear traveling. on recommendation one of our companions we landed in the casa istoria. this visited this locally about a year ago and was totally enthusiastic. this time was not just her, but we were all totally insane! eating was incredibly delicious the service world class. a completely successful evening! we were there with 6 women and claudio was a sharp waiter! thanks for the great evening, at the next trip we come back with safety.

three years ago we were stumbled by infall to the casa istoria...When we come to berlin it is our family! eating is always great. the tageskarte recommends dishes that are not standard. very tasty and even a desire that does not correspond to the card - papa di pomodoro - is fulfilled!
