"I LOVE cheesecakes and wrote a positive review for the Vincent Cheesecake Cafe that's across from this cafe, but on a return visit I realized all the cakes there were made from exactly the same recipe but for the topping. This is plain lazy...cooking. Then we had a meal at this restaurant and finished it off with one of their cheesecakes gooseberry (Stachelbeeren) topped with meringue. It was heavenly and sublime. Their chocolate cake is even better than the sacher torte we had in the famed cafe in Vienna. We spoke to the owners of this cafe a very personable couple, and they told us they had been sued by Vincent's for daring' to call themselves a cheesecake manufacture as if they (Vincent's) were the only ones allowed to make and sell cheesecakes. They also claimed that Vincent's cakes were made from a mix, albeit developed by the baker. I can't say, but I can surely say Finkenherd has cheesecakes that keeps drawing me back to Quedlinburg."

We had a bowl of soup for lunch and were served by a very friendly woman, who recomended the absolutely wonderful soup and treated us likewise.

I come here often for a reason, several actually: the staff is genuinely nice, the dishes are not that many, but those that they prepare are excellent, the coffee is amazing and the cheese cake the best.

This was a very busy place and understandably why. The cake was very tasty along with the coffee. The staff were very personable. I would suggest getting there before you get hungry as there might be a wait as seeing everyone that was coming and...going from this place.

Very atmospheric place. I don’t know how it is in the other seasons but in winter  it feels as if you are in a fairy-tale. We were there in the evening of of January and had a special bonus: listened to beautiful children's carols....This day and this place will stay in my heart forever.

We arrived on a sunny saturday afternoon at around PM for coffee and hot chocolate and took one of the last empty tables on the terrace. None of the waiters found it necessary to give us a menu. After minutes we got one....The coffee was bad, too weak. Well before closing time they started to remove the chair cushions. We did not feel welcome.

We went into this cafe because of the certificate of excellence of Trip Advisor. We ordered sausage dishes with potato salad. It was simple but nice. We enjoyed a lot. Unfortunately we couldn't try their cheesecake as we were full with the lunch and they...didn't let us take a few pieces away. They said if they allow take away, there won't be enough for eating in the cafe. It was really pity. Therefore I can't give ausgezeichnet .

Being rather a hot day we thought that tea might go down rather well and this looked just the right place. So a Darjeeling, Earl Grey and a couple of pastries. Tea was fine but frankly the pastries were dry and uninteresting, it might have...been the time for it was around and I guess that they had probably sat in the counter since morning. However that it is not our problem and perhaps they should either be stored better or not served. Anyhow it was not great. Cost for two teas and pastries.

Stopped off here for an after lunch treat and were delighted by the range of cakes available. Interesting options including buckwheat cheesecake, poppy seed cake as well as a good range of regular baked cheese cakes. The staff were friendly and helpful and I went...with the recommendation of an apple and almond cheese cake and was extremely satisfied by this juicy texture which was flavorsome unlike the Oetker package taste that many cafes roll out in such prime locations. As the weather was inclement we sat inside, what we would describe as a charming and cosy tearoom. My husband was more than satisfied with his meringue topped cheesecake I can concur with his judgment as I may have just had...

I found out after visiting finkenherd that it's competition is across the road at cafe Vincent and both specialize in cheesecake. Anyway we stopped in here for a coffee, it's quite a nice interior, it's kind of rambling and over two floors. We were sat...at the window with a nice view. The tables and chairs seem to be original arts and crafts style which was nice. My wife ordered the special festive cake, which looked like a chocolate mouse cake but was actually made with poppy seeds and a nut cream and covered in chocolate icing. It was actually particularly good, the poppy seeds made it light and and tasted very nice. I ordered the gooseberry cheese cake with snow as it was described by ou...

"in the heart of quedlinburg we found a medieval idyll that looks like a fairy tale journey into pastness. it is surrounded by a ring of generous youth style villas that are just a few minutes walk from the center of the world heritage of unesco. directly at the desired brühlpark. in the listed artisanal building of a former destille and an adjacent greenderzeit pinais, they find romance since restoration. the historic city is only 5 minutes to walk away and the view of the castle mountain with its two-headed Romanesque church. from the early year to the autumn, but especially in summer, a large green inner courtyard is provided in fresh air. friends and well-known cool kitchen come at any season in the restaurant weinstube at the brühl. and they find here also an excellent international selection of Germans. there is an on-site garage, in which parking is closed at night, partly covered and also closable on request. for wellness offers a colour light sauna. massages by trained physiotherapists are also possible on request. nature, culture and history invite you to discover many possibilities to spend exciting days in quedlinburg. the resin is the northernmost medium mountain of Germany. imposing rocks, gentle hills, romantic valleys, dreamy meadows and deep forests change from a landscape as in the fairy! the city of quedlinburg offers a view of its 1000-year history, reflected in the important buildings of the Romanesque. the historical cityscape, medieval and picturesque at the same time, magnificent watchtowers and works of art were walking and very impressed me. this small town with its 1,200 factory houses from six centuries, the unesco in 1994 has declared one of the largest multifaceted denkmäler in Germany. quedlinburg was placed on the lists of world cultural goods. the renaissance castle on the burgberg dates back to the 16th/17th century and was the favourite french Saxon heart. high above the city on the burgberg the romantic church of St. servatius and attracts most views. the former damenstift holds the famous domschatz, who moved a Texas officer to America at the end of the 2nd World War. this pity has been admired since 1993 in the venerable basilikum. there are probably only a few places, perhaps even none of those German kings and imperial, surrounded by the great of the rich, so often and so gladly stayed. from heinrich i. to frittrich ii. can be shown for all imperial and kings (except for heinrich vi. such quedlinburger remains. not less than seventy! also imperial redbart friedrich barbarossa several times in quedlinburg."
