"Not a review about the food or staff, more of a review about their website and their communication. We hadn't been to the Caernarvon Castle before and thought it looked like a nice family pub so would give it a go an get out of the house. We booked online and we wrote notes regarding bringing a young baby and may need to breast feed, just to give them a heads up and see if their was a possibility for a quieter seat but we know places get busy so didn't mind to much. We arrived at our booking time to be told on arrival that they don't have a licence for inside so we couldn't bring the baby in and if we wanted to eat we would have to sit outside! I can understand being strict about kids running round inside but never thought Ide hear of a young baby being turned away and told to sit outside. I understand licensing can being tricky things but our main issue was the fact we had stated on our booking and no one thought to contact us in the hours between us booking it and our arrival. We would have appreciated a heads up before bringing a baby out only to have to go elsewhere last minute. Since, I have checked their website again and I have now seen that it says not kid friendly but only on their FAQs which is a bit silly. You can book for a kid between 0-15 but you cant actually take them. Needs a notice first thing on the website and by looking at other reviews needs one on the doors."

When I rate one star only because they don’t have minus star rating absolute joke of a place no under 18 unless your sitting outside what about if your eating ? Rating very poor have money to burn only 3 other people and we where a party of 4

was never here, I had my dachshund with me and expected to sit outside, which is completely in order. but we could sit in the house, I think the whole staff had come to see him, they brought tasty and a bowl of water. new favourite, I think! pleasantly surprised by food, better quality than any other green king.

Fantastic menu, great beer, and a plethora of wine and spirits to choose from too! Staff are friendly and welcoming. Variety of evening entertainment and live music every week. Spacious garden, perfect for the Summer months ahead! Cannot recommend this pub enough, well done to the staff who allow this place to thrive to its maximum potential daily! Will definitely keep coming back.

the atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed. the first time there and the personal, where very friendly. ordered prawn cocktail and a lamb roast. the food was nice, except the potatoes on the bratessen greased like frozen and reheated carrots and the yorkshire was burned. the rest of the food was nice. I would try again. in any case recommend trying. even if I have a child, I went out with a friend, so I had an adult only venue.

Unable to go in with a new born baby to go and get food, told due to licensing they can not have children, however I know landlords and have spoken to them, it’s not about the licence as the licence covers them to sell alcohol and operate. Down to small time mentality they implement this policy, however dogs are allowed in which baffles me as some dogs are very unhygienic and can trigger other guests allergies. Will update this review in 18 years time when I can revisit.
