We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary last night with family. The food portions were fantastic, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the setting was gorgeous. It was a wonderful evening filled with delicious food, great company, and a lovely ambiance. Thank you for creating memories that will never be forgotten.

Came here for a family birthday, after looking online for vegan options I came with low expectations but I was pleasantly surprised! I was presented with a full vegan menu and much care was taken to ensure my meal was vegan, the mushroom and walnut main was particularly delicious! As someone following a vegan lifestyle I really appreciate traditional eateries like this one accommodating me, so thank you!

Absolutely amazing. I have been here several times over the past three years with older family members for special occasions, and with friends for a chilled and relaxed dinner. The food never fails, and the service is excellent. Speaking with neighbours and friends in Hitchin, everyone raves about it. In all the years of living in this area I am sad that this was my first visit as it was superb! The service was second to none with our waitress being attentive but not over bearing, chatty and an all round delight. The food was beautiful, perfectly seasoned, tasty, well presented and plenty of it. I recommend the prawns to start and if you like beef wellington you will love this one! I can't wait to go back. Fantastic food, great friendly atmosphere and lovely staff! Me my, partner and our friend came here for dinner. We started with homemade haddock fishcakes and mussels in white wine suace. The fishcakes were light, fluffy, and tasty (my friend Christine made me say tasty instead of sumptuous lol). The mussels were large and juicy, and the white wine sauce was beautiful. The mains were all amazing. Me and my partner shared beef Wellington and a rack of lamb. We recently dined at this establishment based on glowing reviews and an intriguing interior. From the moment we entered the small parking area to the warm welcome by a helpful young man, our experience was delightful. The restaurant's decor was captivating, and we were promptly seated at a perfectly arranged table. Our waiter, a friendly and charming gentleman, efficiently took our drink orders, and the haddock fish cakes for starters were truly satisfying. The mains featured a flawlessly cooked 8oz Scottish steak, tailored to my medium preference.
