we came to midhurst for an overnight break and found the bricklayers arms. what a beautiful place. a really friendly atmosphere and welcome from the employees and locals. we are coming back in a definitiw. just like a pub should be!

we were in midhurst and had to eat, and we came by chance over this pub, wow! what a perfect choice. the food was delicious and plentiful and cooked to perfection take the attention all the establishments that serve to cook in a bag eat!

Came here with my sister to have some food, drinks and watch the football after she’d come and enjoyed it so much. The landlord and landlady are so welcoming and kind and the locals are such a laugh! Food was yummy, reasonably priced and good...portions! stars!

Because Friday night is pizza night! As the pics show, it was yum scrum! This is a fantastic little pub. Always a warm welcome and some cheeky banter from the staff. This family run pub offers excellent ales and a wide selection of wines. Emma...provides superb home cooked dishes from scratch nothing processed served from this kitchen! With a varied menu and more than ample portions, there’s something for everyone. Give it a go, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Keep up the good work Emma and Alan!

Came in for a quick drink after work and because the staff were happy friendly and couldn’t do enough for you we decided to stay for dinner. Food was absolutely amazing and a great size for the price (more than enough for dinner and some...left overs). I can’t imagine how hot the kitchen is during the heat we had today but the chef came out to ensure we were happy and we couldn’t praise her enough. Drinks came quickly and Covid precautions were adhered to so we felt very safe to stay a bit longer. Amazing atmosphere and will most certainly be returning as found this to be a lovely evening.

After we did not book for East Sunday dinners, we took a punt on this pub, mainly based on its proximity to our accommodation. the renter and his team were friendly and accommodating. the only food that was offered was a Sunday roast that was well suited to us, and it was not a carousel. the frying dinner was more fantastic with a selection of meat and a vegetarian option. when the meal arrived, we were amazed to see that it served with eight sweet plus bratkartoffeln, bratpfannen, stuff, yorkshire pudding and gravy. the service was really good and amazing, my man had to pick cake and custard that did not belong. if in this neck of the forest it is worth a visit for a worth home cooked meal.

I met a friend from Basingstoke, in Midhurst, halfway (from Haywards Heath). We booked lunch at this little gem of a pub. WOW. The entire ambience is inviting, a real friendly helpful bunch of staff and fellow customers. Which in itself says much about the...place. Sunday’s do Roast Dinners only. Choice of Beef, Chicken, Lamb, Gammon or Nut Roast. SUPERB. Probably the BEST roast dinner I’ve had in Sussex, EVER. We ordered Beef. It was succulent and well cooked. Roast potatoes perfect, Yorkshire pud, stuffing, parsnips. Followed by TWO dishes of veg, just for us both. If that wasn’t impressive enough, along came a large gravy boat, Simple perfection. Wow this pub was AMAZING !!!! I had lunch with my family here while we were in the area. Firstly, I wasn't asked for id when ordering alcohol at the bar (I'm nineteen), which was the lady's own prerogative- and not at all a problem for me- however, I thought it...was interesting since I work in a restaurant myself and by law, would have asked for age identification. The whole time we were served by a lady, who I believe owned the place, and in fact, didn't see any other staff during our visit. She was nice and accommodating. Food portion sizes were big!
