"I’d not heard of Gilligan’s before but some friends suggested it. Gluten free options are not marked on the menu but the manager came over and went through them several fish and veggie options (no meat ones on our visit which wasn’t a problem for us). All three course were spectacular. Best food I’ve eaten out for ages. Plus it’s BYO. (Note BYO alcohol only not soft drinks we made a mistake so designated driver mistakenly brought their own but had to buy from the bar not a problem). Service was good. Would definitely go back."

"If you're looking for an authentic taste of Japan, Cha-ty will remind you of true Japanese cuisine, and that it's possible to enjoy the tastes and flavours of Japanese food in the UK, without breaking the bank. Lunch is excellent value for money, and I enjoyed a spicy vegetable curry with rice. You can also enjoy iced coffee without sugar or syrup. The Japanese owner of Cha-ty bakes her own delicious cakes, again a true taste of Japanese sweets and cakes. Having lived in Japan for 15 years I can vouch for the authenticity of the Japanese flavours and tastes of this cafe. So if you're missing Japanese style cuisine head over to Cha-ty in the Mumbles, South Wales."

"October 1st 2022 we booked a meal in this lovely restaurant to celebrate the retirement of one of our nurses. Staff are exceptional, very friendly, nothing is to much trouble. The food did not disappoint, it was hot and my it was very tastey. Every one of our party commented on the quality of the food, even the vegetarian who said it was the best vegetarian meal she had ever eaten out, normally she finds vegetarian food over spiced in every restaurant she has ever been to, but said this meal was delicious. It was so nice we have booked our work christmas dinner here. Thankyou"

"I've eaten here a few times with my partner and always been blown away by the food, so for my birthday this year I thought I'd arrange a meal with some friends to share the deliciousness with loved ones. Big mistake. The restaurant clearly don't want to cater for large parties (there were 12 adults and 4 kids in our group . We booked an early table at 5pm to make this easier for the restaurant and free up the space for evening diners. From the moment of our arrival we were treated with utter contempt, bits of our order never turned up, drinks took ages to arrive. When it came to leaving, we were told we had underpaid by £25 but previously the waitress had said we had completely covered before I'd even paid my portion so the £25 I paid for my meal was essential the tip (way more than 10% . The hostile manager wouldn't let us leave and insisted we pay the missing money plus a tip. After we left we checked all our receipts (though most of us paid in cash , added them up and saw we had indeed been swindled. I am genuinely devastated because I have loved eating here until this point, but I won't be going back because of the way we were treated. If you are a solo diner or couple then please do visit because the food is absolutely out of this world, but if you are a large party please avoid the awful experience I was unfortunate to have at the hands of such a grumpy man completely devoid of human kindness (who really shouldn't be front of house ."

"We had a great family meal here today with our toddler. The staff were lovely and accommodating. I asked for some cucumber with my daughter's meal, which I was happy to pay for, but they added it at no extra charge. Was also pleasantly surprised that meals for under fives are free with an adult meal. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! Glad to see the pub open and busy again, and with such a warm atmosphere. Vegetarian options: A great veggie and vegan menu with way more choices than most pubs. Not just your standard veggie burger or sausages. My partner had a three bean chilli and I had a veggie stir-fry. Both were really good and big portions too! Kid-friendliness: Very child friendly. A spotless highchair was provided and all the staff were lovely with our daughter. It was also free for her to eat with one adult meal so that was a great bonus.
