Banana Leaf Swansea

This was the best meal out we've had in years the food was so fresh and tasty, and our waitress was so incredibly kind and attentive to us, always at our side in a second when she could see we needed anything! Can't recommend highly enough we will be back and back!

First exprience of Sri Lankan food and was very keen to try the authentic dishes which were, not only good eating but impressive to the eye. Host and waitress were very knowledgable about Sri Lanka, the food anf the beer try the stout, it's bangin' Not exprnsive and well placed

First visit and we will definitely be going back. We had a selection of starters, all great but the cauliflower the star of starters. Food arrived quickly after ordering, and what a taste sensation it was. Have eaten Indian food for many years but never tried South Indian cuisine. Generally spicier and hotter but so much flavour. Never had a curry in a crepe served with a side of lentil soup but it was very satisfying. Staff were very helpful and happy to explain everything on the menu. Will be returning very soon.

Another great meal. The restaurant looks extremely modest from the road. However once inside, you are made to feel really welcome by the friendly helpful staff. There was a lovely atmosphere. The menu was great I had Dosai as a starter followed by a really tasty mutton korma with spicy rice and a lovely warm dessert. They had a good drinks menu, I enjoyed their cider. The meal cost including tip was less than £40 each, great value. Definitely worth another visit for my next trip to Swansea

I had a very lovely experience at this restaurant. The wait staff were friendly and professional. The menu was full of choice and intrigue for someone not well versed in Sri Lankan/ South Indian cuisine. The choice of vegetarian and vegan options is a stand out positive to visit. You can tell the food is prepared by someone who is talented and knowledgeable about food. What a blessing. All the food was lovely but the Gobi Manchurian was incredible. Just outstanding. I visited Banana Leaf hoping for a fresh take on South Asian cuisine, and that's exactly what I got. The spicing is excellent, deeper and hotter than Indian food, and enhancing the flavour in meat and vegetables. The mutton curry is particularly good, the sauce sizzles with heat and flavour and the meat is beautifully tender. Side dishes balance the mains very well and kothu is an excellent accompaniment. Portions are generous, service is attentive and value for money is very good. I will certainly come back soon. Thank you for a very enjoyable experience.

Family of 3(2adults a kid) went for a dine in experience following a an excellent experience witch take away menu of the restaurant. However,we encountered a distasteful experience due to the uncourteous behaviour of the supervisor/manager who wouldn’t let the hungry kid have his small pack of chips brought along while waiting to order food. We were told by the manager/supervisor that it is rude against the company’s policy to have outside food in the restaurant was told to remove the chips packet from the table and put it in our bags. I've eaten here a few times with my partner and always been blown away by the food, so for my birthday this year I thought I'd arrange a meal with some friends to share the deliciousness with loved ones. Big mistake. The restaurant clearly don't want to cater for large parties (there were 12 adults and 4 kids in our group . We booked an early table at 5pm to make this easier for the restaurant and free up the space for evening diners. From the moment of our arrival we were treated with utter contempt, bits of our order never turned up, drinks took ages to arrive.
