"Try to get here most wednesdays for the roast lunch, carved in front of you unless you are early, just before 12 noon, when the girls will take your order and then when service is ready they will deliver to your table. This is in my case at present as i am on an elbow crutch and cant carry a tray.As usual the roasts are choice of Beef,Pork or Turkey, large or small portions with usual extras, crackling, york pud and all sauces. At least 7 vegetables and potatoes and their gravy is to die for.Extensive blackboard menu and they cater for all food allergies and diets etc.;Lovely friendly staff. The only downside of the place is that the toilets are outside by the main entrance which is a fair step from the restaurant."

Very basic dining area, could do with refurbishment and some decent heating. The food is good but usually served warm and soon cools down in the chilly dining room.

We stopped on the way back from holiday for a cooked breakfast one full English, one veggie. Both were delicious and price was also good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast stop off.

Awful visit from the start, poor customer service on ordering the food. Large and small meat breakfasts are offered, however we requested a small vegetarian breakfast and we were told this wasn't possible and vegetarian breakfasts come in one size only.

We came with a small group on a coach heading to Brobury House. I had a large and delicious scone with a cup of coffee, though it was a bit pricey. I believe one scone shared between two people would be more than enough. The restaurant seemed to be well-liked by locals, as there was a line for lunch as we were leaving. Tables had timed reservations on them, so it's advisable to make a booking in advance. Voir le carte

This restaurant is situated within a farm shop complex. We visited on Easter Monday and it was very busy but the staff were so friendly and helpful. We both had the mixed grill which consisted of an egg, sausage, black pudding, small piece of liver, small but thick piece of bacon and a small piece of steak, served with chips. The meat was all delicious, it had presumably come from the quality butchers in the farm shop. The steak was better than some I have had in an expensive restaurant.

I visited this restaurant for lunch this week and was pleasantly surprised by the varied selection of hot meals available. I chose the casserole, which was served with freshly cooked vegetables. The meal was nice, hot, and tasty. I had previously had a disappointing experience at Berries, so I was pleased to have a much better meal this time. The staff were efficient and it seemed like the seating area had been improved. The coffee was good and served hot, which makes me think they may have upgraded their quality or equipment. Overall, it was good value for money.

I was looking forward to having a mixed grill, which is what I had last time we visited, but unfortunately it was not available on the menu. Instead, I opted for the carvery and was not disappointed. The pork and beef were both tender and there was plenty of each. There was a variety of vegetables to choose from and someone to serve them to us. The staff were all very friendly, even though it was quite busy, and we did not have to wait too long. Despite our concerns about finding a table, there were actually several available. We also had the option to sit outside in the sun or in the shade, which was a nice choice to have.
