"very cozy restaurant, I felt like eating in an old friendly house, which is very polite and a remarkable cook! high quality and fresh ingredients; the warm crabs and avocado pancakes were particularly exciting; followed by a perfect Sunday roast. the homemade ice was a star finish to eat. looks just from the outside, but in them are greeted by a beautiful traditional French thema. beautiful environment, sets a really relaxed yet prestigious atmosphere immediately."

"We were taken care of by Sharlene who was just as friendly as she was efficient. The first pre course we had was the best food of the night. It was called a soup but was really an espuma an aerated liquid (by whipping siphon), it was served with with some herb oil. Truly fantastic. The bread served alongside was fairly mundane. I then had the venison which looked like it was cooked under vacuum, or with unmatchable skill just perfect edge to edge pinkness with a great sear. Great plating as well. The raspberry tart was similarly exceptional, but the sticky toffee pudding could have been better. The syrup was not thick enough and the taste was not right. It was not bad, just didnt meet the standard of the rest of Monadh's fare. Excellent restaurant with very friendly staff, we look forward to our next visit."

"The food was decent; the fish and chips were enjoyable. However, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed inattentive, and we felt overlooked. We might have ordered additional food and drinks if someone had actually approached us. We had to request the lunch menus ourselves (there was no offer for a toddler's meal), ask to order drinks, and even ask for the bill. We eventually stood around in our coats waiting for the card machine while the staff chatted at the bar. They appeared disorganized and lacked direction, especially under a manager who seemed disengaged, glued to his phone and laptop while avoiding eye contact. Having spent decades in the service industry myself, it's quite frustrating to have an experience like this, regardless of how busy they were. Hopefully, this was just an off day for them, but I'll be choosing to spend my money elsewhere in the future."

"Spent over £60 Well I had heard how good this place was and decided to give it a try even though they are more expensive than most. I ordered popadoms spiced onions, fish pakora and a chicken Tikka to start. And 3 different mains. Also mango chutney. I put on on line and rang to check if it was ready which they confirmed it was. However on arrival I had to wait a further 20 mins. When I got home I noticed there was no popadoms so I had to go back down again. Stupidly I thought they would refund money for popadoms but I had to complain to save a few quid for my hassle. Also didn’t get the mango chutney. Both starters were tasty although for the price not much chicken. Main courses the meat was very small portions and small pieces of meat. In the King prawn curry their idea of King prawns and actual King prawns are miles apart. Prawns were tiny and obviously straight out of the freezer. Food tasted okay, over priced, small portions and poor service. Maybe we got this on a night when they were too busy. Will not be back."

"Had a brilliant lunch at this lovely wee hidden gem in Milngavie. Food: Firstly very Generous portions! We opted for Beer Battered Fish/Chips and Mushy Peas! Fish was amazing..Beautiful light Batter and the fish itself was also amazing, really fresh and perfectly cookedtruly delicious, accompanied with freshly cooked chips and tasty mushy peas! Served with a nice cold Beer.. PERFECT!! What more could you want? all in all price wise we found it Fantastic value for money. Service: The Manager/Waiter (for us) Jamie was really attentive,friendly,helpful and knew his stuff. Made our visit feel really special so big thank you Jamie. Ambiance: Friendly,Relaxed and Welcoming I would highly recommend this fantastic restaurant in Milngavie and myself and family will most definitely look forward to a return visit in the near future."
