Bay Leaf - Carte

I recently tried the chicken Karachi dish at Bay Leaf and I cannot praise it enough. The food was incredibly delicious, fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. I highly recommend Bay Leaf.

Ordered 4 pizzas tonight but turned up 40 minutes late and lukewarm, was not impressed. I think a phone call would not go a miss if going to be late.Currys are usually good, would not order pizza again.

So I have to say that the food you get here is generally nice however for what you pay it is not what I would call value for money. The prices are akin to some of the really top quality Indian restaurants in Glasgow. Voir le carte

My hubby I enjoyed a delicious takeaway meal from Bay Leaf. We had the Veg Pakora to start. We then had the Chicken Tikka Chicken Korma mains with sides of rice chapati. This meal also came with Poppadoms Spicy Onions. 10/10 for the Spicy Onions!! Delicious, well presented food. Highly recommend if in the area.

We had a takeaway from Bay Leaf several weeks ago which wasn’t great. The pakora was soggy and lukewarm and both curries were so salty they were almost inedible. Tonight, against my better judgement, I was persuaded to try again. The pakora, rice and breads were ok, but the curry (a chicken tikka balti) was so overloaded with salt that it had to be thrown away.

I have experienced some issues with Bay Leaf regarding missing items in orders and inconsistent portion sizes. However, my main concern was with the tandoori mix grill I ordered tonight. While the food tasted good on the outside, the larger chicken pieces were undercooked, cool, and pink inside. This is a serious health hazard and unacceptable. I threw the food away and should have taken photos as proof. It is not acceptable for a restaurant to serve undercooked chicken without checking the internal temperature. I will not be returning to Bay Leaf and will warn others about their poor cooking standards. That's all.

We recently ordered takeout from Bay Leaf, but unfortunately the main dish was missing the chicken and was just a container full of sauce. I had placed the order through Uber Eats and upon checking my order confirmation, I realized I had ordered chicken tikka dansac. I contacted Uber through their system and they said they would reach out to the restaurant and get back to me. However, I did not receive any further updates from either Uber or Bay Leaf after that. When I followed up with Uber, they informed me that since I did not report the issue within 48 hours, they could not assist me. This experience was disappointing and I will not be using either service again in the future.

Spent over £60 Well I had heard how good this place was and decided to give it a try even though they are more expensive than most. I ordered popadoms spiced onions, fish pakora and a chicken Tikka to start. And 3 different mains. Also mango chutney. I put on on line and rang to check if it was ready which they confirmed it was. However on arrival I had to wait a further 20 mins. When I got home I noticed there was no popadoms so I had to go back down again. Stupidly I thought they would refund money for popadoms but I had to complain to save a few quid for my hassle. Also didn’t get the mango chutney.
