GORGEOUS gourmet tasting food, I had the coconut soup which is divine! The cakes are homemade and also beautiful! Coffee is exceptional! I am Gluten Free as a coeliac and had no problems here at all. Becketts is my favorite café in the world because of its friendly atmosphere and delicious soups, cakes, and more. The owners and staff are kind, compassionate, and truly understand veganism and the needs of vegans. In this part of Whitby, there are few options for vegans, making Becketts a standout choice. Becketts is my absolute favorite café in the world due to its welcoming atmosphere and delicious soups, cakes, and more. The owners and staff are wonderful, kind, and warm-hearted people who truly understand veganism and what it means. In that area of Whitby, there aren't many options for vegans, which makes Becketts even more special. It has been serving the community since January 2007.

I've been visiting Whitby for years, but this year was the first time I noticed Beckett's. It has a wonderfully cozy atmosphere, reminiscent of a café mixed with a library. They offer a few clearly marked vegan soup options. Although I can't recall the exact name of the soup I ordered, I believe it was something like spicy coconut chickpea soup. It was delicious! Instead of bread, it comes with rice cakes, but make sure to ask for them. They also provide non-dairy milk, so you can enjoy a drink alongside your soup. Salad was very tired and wilted and needed to be replaced with fresh crisp salad leaves Bread was not fresh and was breaking up as we tried to eat our panini The filling was not what we are used to as when the previous owners were there the beckaninis were bursting at the seams We would have liked to finish on a nice slice of cake but the selection was minimal and sparse to say the least Not a single table check to enquire whether the food was ok and we were happy with our selection The dragon sausage was quite tangy and not what we’re used to Veggie bowl options on the menu but no bowl option for meat eaters Also far too many dogs allowed in at the same time in a relatively small space Quit...
