A great place for beers and lively atmosphere. A large selection of craft beers, and tasty bar food (cold meats, freshly prepared grilled vegetables, and bruschettas). Reasonable prices too. Plus friendly service for passing tourists. All set in a cosy, charmingly decorated, historic cellar.

We visited Bastian Contraio twice during our short stay in Parma. What a great bar. Excellent and varied selection of beers. My choice was their collaboration beer with Bellazzi La Malaparma. What a beer. Really friendly place busy busy, so you know it's popular. I would visit often and will surely return.

We were a party of six dining at the restaurant. It was a bit tricky to figure out what to order, but the staff was very helpful. One dish was not what expected, only because we didn't know what we ordered, but we were able to change the order without any problem. And the food was great! The gnocchi with truffle was fantastic!
