Barringtons Pub And Dining

As a family group of 16 we were looked after really well. We had 14 Sunday Lunches and 2 pizzas and didn’t have to wait long food was really good!

Staying in the area went Monday evening for dinner all excellent, food and service, so went back Tuesday evening food again very good but service not so good, they did say there may be a wait but over an hour so a bit too long On the plus side 2 cocktails for £12.00

Not very impressed. Food portions were expensive and tiny. Staff couldn't tell us pre-order any details. Ladies toilets out of action, with a request to use the disabled toilet instead ... which had a broken cistern and couldn't be flushed. Disinterested staff. Won't be going again.

We'd a lovely family midweek meal here. Beautiful building (bet the beer garden is beautiful on a sunny day! Booked an hour ahead and they were very accommodating. Really tasty, filling food for the adults and a nice kids menu for the littlies. Staff were so friendly, couldn't be more helpful. Really reasonably priced too. Thanks so much!

What a fantastic find this was. Walking into Barringtons was a bit like walking back in time. It is so warm and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The menu was brilliant. However if the restaurant was full it may have felt a bit crowded as the tables are very close together. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and will return next time we are in the area

While we were staying at the hotel on a Bank Holiday, we called ahead during the day to ensure that the restaurant would be open in the evening. The lady who answered the phone had to confirm with someone else, but she assured us that the kitchen would close at 20:00. We arrived for dinner at 18:45 only to be informed that the kitchen had actually closed at 17:00. The bar manager offered minimal apologies and suggested we take a taxi to a nearby pub. This experience may be indicative of poor management at the establishment.

We came up to Darley Dale for an overnight stay for a wedding, so we decided to avail ourselves of the restaurant while we were there. We were pleasantly rewarded with well prepared and tasty food in a traditional English food style menu. Nothing fancy, just good, wholesome fare at reasonable prices. I had the mixed game pie with vegetables and the wife had plaice. Both very nice. We also enjoyed our overnight stay in this old and traditional establishment. Probably slightly dated now and carpark small but the rooms comfortable and nice showers and there is parking down the adjacent Station Road, so not too much of an issue.

Fabulous place to eat and stay. We booked the suite and it was so lovely! An extremely comfortable four poster bed with a sofa and great view across the park. We ate in the little side room with lots of black and white pictures of movie stars, and the food was incredible! The best pizza I think I've ever had, and my husbands steak was perfect. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely return when we are next up this way in a few months. I must also mention the 2 fabulous ladies- one on the bar and one in the restaurant, who were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Just returned from an overnight stay at Barringtons, we booked as we were attending an event at the nearby Chatsworth house! It’s such a beautiful building, lovely pub/restaurant with extremely friendly staff landlord. Our rooms were just perfect, big, really lovey nice touches with the little chocolates left on our bed. When we arrived we were allowed an early check in and checked in by a really friendly female staff member, sorry did not catch her name, but she was really helpful! We ate lunch in the restaurant before we left and the food was really, really good as was the service from Josh. All round we had an excellent stay and would most definitely recommend.
