"I travelled into Luton from London, and I must say it is by far the best Indian Bangladeshi restaurant I’ve been too. As I walked in i was welcomed by naz, the decor in the restaurant is so nice and it was good to see...awards and certificates that the restaurant has achieved! Most definitely an award winning fine dining restaurant! I had king prawn purée which was full of flavour honestly was craving it the next day! Lamb naga was mouthwatering, Naz special which was to die for! Love my spice! I love how everything is made fresh! Makes such a difference, the customer service was excellent. They were very attentive, and made us feel welcomed. Will definitely go back!!!"

"booked here for my mum and sister as my partner is local to the area and had told us lovely things (so had his family) We arrived on Monday, the place was empty, pub not open and noone around. My partner went inside to find someone to get a key to pay for the two nights. After we paid and got chatting to the lady behind the bar, she said the live and let live was too much for them and they were trying to sell it. When we got into the room, it was obvious that the place hadn 't recieved a clean the whole lockdown, which you would imagine would have been done? Cobwebs on appliances, fridge was turned on by the gentleman who arrived 5 mins after we got the key, with a TV (no remote). the electric was turned off to the room and half the lights didn 't work. The doors, wardrobe and window had been primered but not painted, the towel stand in the bathroom was so rusty, it was unstable, there was soap marks (from previous lodgers) up the walls in the bathroom, the complimentary soaps, shampoo etc were already opened and half used. No curtains up in the room, but curtian pole was there, full of cobwebs and coat hangers. Also dead flies rolled up in the blinds. Light switches were brown. My mother and sister went out to buy anti-bacterial wipes to clean (as when they went to find someone, the place was empty, not a person in sight, also noone answering the phone in the pub) Lamp shades had stains on them and the bed sheets had mould spots on them and the bathroom ceiling was mouldy too. There was other peoples items in the bedside tables everything was covered in a good thick layer of dust! We paid for bed and breakfast on the understanding that the guests would get a choice of either a continental breakfast or a full English, its a good job we ere visiting family or they would have starved in their room! Not a soul to be seen the whole 2 night and 3 days they stayed. We have rung the company who we have booked with and the live and let live have refused to speak to us, acknowledge our issues or issue a refund. This is obviously not acceptable and I hope for the pubs sake that someone manages to buy this and turn it back into the beautiful place that my partner his family remember! The place has great potential its a shame to see it get such a bad reputation! £170 is alot to pay for a dirty room. Do not be fooled by the pictures on the booking sights! They are from 2012 when the previous owners had the pub!!"

"We had an impromptu Saturday lunch with friends at this lovely old village pub. The risotto was delicious and plentiful, and our dog Charlie enjoyed a plain chicken breast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the plates were chipped, the table cloths had food remnants, and the women's toilet was a bit dirty. Despite this, the dessert was a big treat. I would come back again and try something different next time, hoping for better attention to cleaning and upkeep."

"I have visited Passage to India twice in the past few weeks and both times were thoroughly enjoyable. A group of five all enjoyed the first visit, including a vegan and gluten-intolerant amongst us, on a very busy Friday night. A larger group of 9 had a similar experience 2 weeks later, albeit on a much quieter Sunday night. There is a large selection of dishes including Bengali and Rajesthani on the menu, and the portions were quite generous. They were easily able to adjust the heat and spiciness up or down as required. One of the best Indian-style restaurants for miles, although not the cheapest.... thoroughly recommended."

"we were here for dinner before a Saturday and the food was delicious! we went on Sunday in bank holidays and it was a catastrophe! I am vegetarian and Sunday before they had roasted nuts on the menu, so I sang and this weekend did not do what was good. at this weekend they had no veggie option with the frying dinner, so I asked thunfisch with mine and pay the price of £16. I asked if I could have veggie gravy and they said that they did not have if they had a washing veggie option, I would have thought that they would have a veggie gravy? but I was offered white wine sauce instead. when I got my food, it had not been the yorkshire pudding on the teller, at this point I could not be asked to ask again how she felt frustrated when I always asked about the veggie alternatives. the veggie medley was all shrunk and looked like it was microsaturated and it was lacking flavor and flavor. Moreover, the price-performance ratio is not great for the quantity and quality of the foods they receive. I just wanted a nice vegetarian roast and couldn't get this here. my friend had the meat alternative and again he said it was missing taste."
