Birthday meal with family starter Asian beef salad stringy beef burnt crispy coating and covered in fried onions with soy sauce dreadful. Main lamb was OK dessert was Eaton mess more like Eaton mush. Over priced and pretentiousness. Great waiting staff very friendly

We have used Ashfields for decades. After it changed ownership we have used it less. The food is really good, unfortunately for me it has lost that little bit extra customer service on the serving side which makes it average. Like I said the food is lovely, tasty and a good menu which a wide choice.

Burger and cocktail night was fabulous and excellent value for money, good choices and the best starters by far. Loved the beef croquettes could eat them every day, waitress and staff were very friendly and helpful. Don’t normally eat onion rings but they were divine and perfectly cooked Definitely returning

Had a great lunch today. The food was great and each course a winner for taste and texture. The service was spot on, lovely and informal but always there. Our 21 month old toddler loved it also and ate all 3 courses. The wines was lovely as was the beer We also thought that the portions were generous for fine dining. All in all a great meal, that all of us enjoyed

Six of us visited Fourwards last night for dinner. It was unanimously agreed that our dinner was fantastic. The service was first class too. All of our meals were piping hot. Our steaks were cooked just the way we ordered them. The wine was lovely too. All in all, it was most certainly a fantastic experience. Of particular note was the most fantastic black garlic and truffle sauce to go with my steak. STUNNING

This was a recommendation from a friend to go here as Doris lives in Hinckley The service and food were amazing. Doris is blind so the taste is everything I have never seen anyone demolition their sticky toffee pudding like that !! And the jewel in the crown was we did not pay for Doris's meal how special she had the most amazing day Thank You so much we will be returning and buying vouchers for our friend for Christmas I have spread the word with all of my friends who will be coming and we will return our go-to place for service ambience amazing staff and food can't thank you enough you went that extra mile Megan x

Went for Sunday lunch as Jen recommended it from her past visits. There was a friendly welcome and it seemed well run with a short wait in the bar whilst ordering and then we were moved into the restaurant. All the food didn't dissapoint and everything was perfectly cooked. I had the pork belly and Jen had the chicken, but I have to say the star of the show was the carrot. I even rated it above the carrot that I had at Everards Meadows, praise indeed! We had 3 courses and the dessert just about beat us. I thought it was great value for money and will definitely be back in the future. Great food with great company, can't beat that for Sunday lunch!

We visited Fourwards for lunch yesterday (20/12) as a bit of a birthday treat for myself. We haven’t been since it was Ashfields, and that was a long time ago. What can I say, apart from why have we not visited sooner?! (We live very local to the restaurant). The service from the start was fantastic. The food was faultless! We will definitely be back again as a regular visit. Apologies for not knowing names, but a special thanks go to the waitress for your excellent service, the barman for offering to do an off menu cocktail, and I believe it was one of the owners for your kind gesture. It was very much appreciated and we shall be back soon! Thank you all!

The food was amazing, apart from last time we visited we got told that if we informed them ahead that there would be more Vegan options for my party. I rung and booked 8 days in advance and when we turned up had one vegan option for a starter and main, which was the same when we didn't inform. The people serving the food was also great, yet the main front of house lacked the welcome touch. We was a large party and wanted an itemise bill, after requesting one, we got quite a bit of attitude and they really need a system that would give them that level of detail, so the party can split the bill correctly.
