"Food and service were good, the waitress was really lovely. However we left feeling disappointed which over shadowed our lovely evening we booked as a large party with 3 kids. My 2 year old changed her mind having the sauce mixed in with her penne pasta, and wanted it separate (she’s 2! , and the waitress kindly changed it. We didn’t expect to get charged the £8 extra for a bowl of kids pasta and sauce, as it was only pasta! I understand if it was any other item that costs a lot more (we wouldn’t have sent it back, we would have eaten it between us if we knew! . The Young Diners menu comes with ice cream, and we only ordered 2 as my niece didn’t fancy it (our choice I know . So really as we paid for 4 kids menu, we saved the restaurant 2 ice creams… sounds pedantic but we felt the owner was! He came over when we queried the bill, and he just said “well we had to throw it away”. I said we appreciate that, but it was only pasta which doesn’t cost loads (and doesn’t amount to £8 worth, despite the sauce on the side . He didn’t accept this, which is fine and his choice, and we paid the bill with it on. I’ve seen some of the manager’s replies on here, and don’t worry we won’t visit again."
