"Have walked past this pub many times on the way to the spoons but this time we had the dog as well as the kids. Wetherspoons don’t allow dogs and then the pub opposite the spoons doesn’t allow kids! This pub is brilliant. Friendly staff great food and all reasonably priced. I really liked it in there. Will definitely be making a first stop now on any next visit to ramsgate"

"we have been completely contaminated by the quality of food. this must be one of the best restaurants in margate by far. friendly staff and together with our dog casper was very welcome in the dog friendly area. the Mexican food mixed with Sunday dinner is really inventive. the cocktails were amazing and even the dog was given gravy bones and water. our dog was so chilled that he even asked if we could go back to lol."

"First impressions last. Ordered a takeaway chicken in yoghurt kebab at £17+. Venue looked great, dishes going to the table looked amazing value. Opening our foil container and it was almost all bread. Should either change the name of the dish to bread in yogurt with a bit of chicken garnish, or put more of the primary named ingredient in. Calling them back is just as fruitless as it’s perm engaged but it is Saturday. Perhaps Saturdays is con the takeaway customers day. Doubtful will ever use again or go in based on this. Service and atmos was ok, but food a huge let down."

"So pleased I came here. Our dog was made very welcome and given some lovely biscuits. Staff were excellent, very friendly and informative. We only had a drink and a sandwich but what a sandwich it was! Butternut Squash at its best. I haven't had a sandwich that good in ages. Thank you everyone at the Margate Coffee Shed."

"Went last Wednesday for a bite of lunch down by the harbour in the sunshine. An unassuming place from the outside. The Cafe is divided into 2 parts with the second being a retail area which we didn 't try. Archive Cafe has an interesting display counter where you can see exactly what 's on offer. Inside seating area different aswell as a clutch of outside tables looking over the harbour. We chose a couple of quiches from the specials with salad. Mine was Mushroom blue cheese a side of coleslaw, all made in the kitchen. loved every last mouthful. Followed it by a Mixed berry Swedish bun, just so moist packed with flavour a coffee where clearly the barrista knew their stuff a mere americano at that. Worth searching out."

"As soon as I arrived in Margate, after leaving the train station I could smell the basil, the garlic, the chillies,...I found Pam Asian and went I got in my heart shaped, the most beautiful lady I have ever seen was in front of me , she was shining like a flower in spring, I got lost in her bubles. I ordered Chicken Satay and Red Curry and sticky rice. Sunny was the most delightful dish of the night. I am so in love, she is so sweet and sour. I hope to see you again lovely Sunny."

"I just ordered a pizza from here I’ve never tasted anything so vile for a hot n spicy pizza. I would not rate pizzas from this place the pizza wasn’t cut the cutter was just rolled across pizza not cut on any slices. It also tasted off mint for some reason I ordered a 10” had 3 slices or tried to every time I lifted out box all the topping fell off so just eating the dough so put in bin rather starve than eat this pizza"

"We were on holiday in the area and saw on TA that this place does excellent Sunday lunches, so I called them up and tried to book a table. The lady I spoke to said they don’t take phone bookings, she couldn’t see the booking...system and told me to use the website online system. So I did. I submitted the Form and got an automated acknowledgment. I heard nothing back. On the morning of our booking I rang the restaurant and politely enquired if they could accommodate us for lunch … the same lady said “hold on, I’ll check” and she came back saying they were fully booked! Half an hour before my requested booking, I got an email confirming they were full. What a complete shambles of a booking system."

"So very very disappointing. Having read previous reviews, I specifically chose this restaurant to take my boyfriend to for his special birthday meal. Went on a Saturday night and were the first sitting of the evening. For a menu that is already very limited with...little choice, to then be told there was no rump steak and no fish of the day was a shocker. So for us non-veggies, the choice of sirloin steak, fish and chips or Burger!! Our starter of prawn cocktail came in the most awkward high cocktail glasses making it really difficult to eat! Salt and pepper pots on our table were both empty. We both went for the sirloin steak, which was very fatty. The chips were tasty, but the tomato looked either past it’s best or microwaved. The peppercorn sauce was extremely thin and not at all creamy. Overall, average, in fact I would go as far as to say the steak we had at the Premier Inn a week ago before travelling abroad was better and half the price and presented better. The restaurant itself appears high end in its appearance but totally let down by the food. The staff were very apologetic and actually embarrassed that the menu or lack of it was poor. Hence a slight reduction in our bill. "

"Since moving to Birchington Sue and Paul had always made my mum and dad feel so welcome in the wine bar. So when it came to planning my dads wake it was the only place that I knew was right. Sue made everything so easy to prepare for and encouraged us to use the space upstairs how we felt was right to remember my dad. Buffet was amazing as was the bar service…nothing was too much trouble. Everyone stayed for a good few hours because of the venue; it helped us to celebrate and remember. I cannot thank them enough."

"Probably the worst service and restaurant in Kent. And don’t blame lockdown. Had to ask for menus three times been told that we were next 3 times when we stated we were ready to order. Absolutely rubbish I would never ever return it’s not quaint it not authentic it’s not good food. Absolutely the worst restaurant ever and filthy the place is derelict absolute shambles they should be ashamed and should be shut down."

"In the past we have had a nice experience at the pub. But sadly since a change of staff, our visit was extremely disappointing. The managers Sam and Rob in particular were very rude and kept demanding that we pay for the car park despite ordering over £40 of food at the bar. We also ordered teas during the day but the same manager couldn’t be bothered to give me a cup to carry three hot drinks. The customer service was appalling. Then when we returned in the evening, we had reserved a table inside. One of us was willing to sit outside and eat with the dog but they kept demanding that we had to eat inside or would have to pay the car park fees. ‘Why say you are a dog friendly pub when you are not?’ I was willing to eat outside with my dog but was made to feel uncomfortable. The staff really need training in customer service. I would not recommend to others, you would be much better visiting a nice pub further afield."
"the friendly team room in ramsgate. had a beautiful jacket kartoffel yesterday filled with my favorite crowning huh and a lot of it. the woman had her cheese and speck on toast the best in thanet (her comment.) easy eating, but well prepared what makes it a pleasure to come into the teeries when in ramsgate . and last but not least really friendly staff, which can be a rare thing today in some esshausen."

"We enjoyed a delightful, casual lunch at this restaurant. We had sandwiches, chips, and coffee, all of which were delicious. It was not busy on a weekday, and the service was excellent and efficient. We appreciated that we were not rushed. The restaurant was clean and bright, and we would definitely recommend it. Overall, we would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a 5 out of 5. The price per person for lunch was between £20-30."

"My family visited the Walpole Bay today, to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday. We were booked in for an Afternoon Tea. The place has a very traditional feel to it, and is very quirky with very nice matching china. The sandwiches were ok, but were cut into quarters and still had the crusts on. In my experience, the sandwiches are usually cut into fingers and have the crusts removed. The scones were very nice and light, but we were very disappointed to have whipped cream instead of the traditional Clotted Cream. There was also 2 pieces of cake too. However, if you're looking for somewhere interesting, quirky and old, then this is the place to go! It is a museum hotel and has lots of interesting period artefacts, including an original trellis gated lift!"

"the renter has booked this meal at short notice, the renter was very accommodating and our party of 5 booked for the afternoon. the pub has its own parking spaces that are good. we had a drink in the bar area and then went to the restaurant for our meal. this is probably the most beautiful Sunday roast I had in a very long time. the yorkshire pudding was amazing! rounded off with a great selection at dessert, we all decided for the spotted **** and custard, pudding was like old school days lol. the meal was hot, much beside vegetables simply delish. barry was cooked in the kitchen, but he came out to talk to the customers. all this was reasonable. 1. visit, but definitiw not the last"

"This aspires to be a ‘Boutique’ hotel but falls a little short. The hotel is clean and well decorated. The continental breakfast was unimaginative – it was adequate but limited in choice. It’s also worth mentioning that you may have to bring your own toilet paper and do your own washing up*! We were looking forward to our stay at The Falstaff and apart from being put in a room right at the top of the building which was reached by narrow winding stairs it started well. We were provided with tea, coffee, water and biscuits. We stayed for 3 nights and during our stay our room was not serviced. Now, I don’t mind making my own bed but we were left with dirty cups so I went down the narrow winding staircase to reception with the dirty cups, explained that our room hadn’t been serviced and asked for clean cups which were provided – no apology or explanation given. I also mentioned that we would need more toilet paper the following day I was told a note would be made. However, on returning to our room at 9:30pm the following evening we found the room had not been tidied again and we had 2 dirty cups* and very little toilet paper. There was nobody on duty at that time so we had to source our own paper – not easy at that time of night. The next morning we at least received an apology. We were so disappointed especially as we had read other glowing reviews of The Falstaff."

"We have been a few times now and each time not only is the food absolutely delicious with fresh and local ingredients. The staff provide a lovely service, they are knowledgeable and are always kind and helpful. Honestly a 10/10 must visit spot in Ramsgate! Will definitely be returning for lunch!"

"We frequently order takeout from this restaurant when staying at our caravan in Monkton. The food is fresh and delicious. The curry sauce is not too spicy, unlike some Chinese restaurants. While the prices have increased compared to our usual spot in Essex, the portions are generous enough to feed at least three people, so it's still worth it. We will continue to order from here, as we truly enjoy the food."
