"My friend and I went on a seal watching trip from Ramsgate and wanted somewhere for a lovely tea afterwards. Oh my goodness this was just the ticket. Fantastic service, really delicious food, and a great setting. We loved it. Excellent qualities (too much) and...such good value, lots of choice but I would really recommend the afternoon tea as so much to eat and so beautifully presented. We asked for the Earl Grey tea which sadly wasn't included in the afternoon tea free fill ups, so we were given it for free. (actually we would happily have paid a supplement for this to be included). The cup cakes we couldn't eat were put in little boxes for later consumption with no fuss, A perfect afternoon tea."

"our oldest daughter had eaten here before and enjoyed eating. modern european with a Caribbean swirl is a good overall description of the menu and the aromen and ingredients of the dishes I ordered, certainly boring. the salt fish and akee starters were light, tender and pretty with a good amount of taste. followed the spicy bark with garlic and broccoli strands. there was in my view exactly the right amount of heat that tasted the palette antique and the flesh in the mouth in a wonderful sauce. the maische was well made, but I would personally welcome more garlic and the broccoli was cooked directly with a small amount of bite. a large selection of dressed, my wife enjoyed the same main before the suppe of the day, flower cauliflower and kumin, that was silky smooth and lightly seasoned and my daughter did not lack for food, though vegan. after their appetizer the curtain followed a herbal curry with the same garlic mash instead of the rice. both set menus that are good for 2/3 dishes, and al a carter are available along with a good selection of wines and cocktails. I loved the ambiente, comfortable chairs, reasonable but inconspicuous music and attentive staff. we will come back when we visit margate."

"We were disappointed with our first visit as the restaurant had been highly recommended. Some dishes were no longer available which reduced the already limited choice to crab and crab. Some dishes were interesting but more seasoning was required. Portion size was not adequate for the price paid. Service was offhand and it was felt that we were not worth bothering about compared to other diners who came in after us."

"I've visited Ramsgate previously but the first time we have walked to the arches and came across this bar. We didn't eat here but decided to stop for a drink on s Saturday evening. Inside there were plenty of comfy chairs. The owner was sat opposite and chatty and all the staff were really friendly. There is a massive choice of gins to try and various cocktails. Whilst we was sat there we were given s few snacks with cheese, pretzels etc on. A DJ also set up whilst we was sat there. What should have been just one drink we ended up staying for several hours as really enjoyed it there. We went on quite a cold day but in summer they have seats outside which would be nice looking over the harbour. Next time we visit Ramsgate we will definitely come back here."

"We visited the Parlour today with 2 friends from London, who had read reviews and asked if they could have lunch with us. Having been several times before, I had booked within 5 minutes of them asking. I had explained that every element would be exceptional ingredients used in a completely honest way, no fancy names or flashy presentation. We could have chosen any or every item on the menu and received a great meal. In fact, we chose 3 different mains-all of which were delightful. The homemade pie my friend had no disappointing gap under the top crust before you found the meat. Chunky pieces of chuck steak filled the whole pie surrounded in beautiful stout gravy, I would have been envious except my beef hotpot more than matched couple with a herby dumpling. GREAT! The ladies had great roast pork and emptied their plates, no better recommendation possible. All at outstanding value. 2 very happy friends."

"We came here for lunch a few days ago. The meals were generally ok and certainly fresh, but the chips were just awful there was a strange smell coming off them and when I tried them, they tasted of old, rancid frying oil. I couldn’t eat them at all, neither could my daughter. Such a shame, as the fish we had was very fresh (even if the batter was rather orange! , but without good chips, what’s the point? I appreciate they were home cut chips, and that the cost of cooking oil has rocketed, but you can’t fry in old oil that leaves this kind of a taste, without spoiling the rest of the meal. Really wanted to love this place given all the reviews and its history, but sadly won’t be going back."

"I had the focacce with onion, garlic and balsamic and vegan mozzarella. And then had the mushroom pasta which was absolutely incredible. I also had the lychee cocktail. The fact they had 3 different types of vegan cheese inclusing parmesan was amazing, havent found that at a restaurant before. Would have had a dessert with options of sorbet or chocolate orange tart but i was stuffed!"

"I visited a friend who moved to margate a few months ago and she recommended this restaurant as her burgers are well known. we were served by lewis, who was attentive and recommended an alcoholic drink. we ordered the gent’s burger’, the classic’ burger with stylton cheese in the burger and a normal bowl and side dish of nachos. the burgers were very tasty and the nachos were sooo good. there was a healthy amount of guacamole, from which we were very impressed. two of my friends also ordered the bidden mulled cider' and it tasted really nice. they were satisfied with the recommendation. would eat here definitiw again and also taste other dishes."

"A really good find for vegetarians with clearly marked options. The name of this restaurant is apt as its all about the flavours with Chef Kumar bringing cuisine from different parts of the Indian sub-continent. The vegetarian interim courses were a welcome surprise and it was interesting to be able to see the kitchen at work from where we were sitting all remarkably calm in such a busy restaurant. The staff were efficient and friendly. The restaurant itself seems to be set in an old pub and had a very good atmosphere on the night we visited. Special mention for the Gobi Kempu and the Punjabi Dall Tadka but all the vegetarian options we selected were amazing."

"we booked a fry for Easter Sunday after we saw the beautiful reviews - we were not disappointed. everything was wonderful. the personal was beautiful and very attentive, without being overlaid. the food was delicious, we had pork roast and roast beef, served with a huge selection of vegetables and cauliflower cheese. gloomy were so delicious, profiteroles sunflowers and brot and butter pudding. portions were very generous, and the setting was nice. the prices were also very reasonable. would recommend this place in any case, it cannot wait to go back."

"I've been working in ramsgate for over 5 years and I missed this little gem. friendly staff, beautiful little restaurant and eating is absolutely stunning. "My husband and I went here today expecting to have a pizza. We have shared take-away pizza from here before and really enjoyed it because it was authentic. When we arrived we were surprised to find a well presented, clean restaurant with a view of the sea and a full menu. We both had pasta dishes, followed by tiramisu and warm lemon tart. The atmosphere is great with Italian music playing. So much more than a pizzeria! A hidden little gem in the back streets of Broadstairs. Reasonable prices and so worth a visit. We will be returning."

"We visited Cramptons late on a Saturday about 3.00pm and were lucky as the kitchen closes at 3.15pm. We ordered the large salsa nachos to share.When they came up the plate was huge with nachos covered in melted cheese, salsa, jalapeno peppers and separate pots of guacemole and sour cream. They were delicious and more than enough for two.I am disabled and in a wheelchair and they have a big disabled toilet which is spotlessly clean but has no lock so if people who can't be bothered to use the ordinary toilets need to go they can just walk in! Luckily this did not happen to me. I presume it is for safety reasons in case someone gets stuck in there.We read the menu while waiting for our food and they really have a lovely selection which is very reasonably priced.The other customers were really helpful holding the doors open so my husband could get me out in the wheelchair as the door opening is quite narrow.Altogether a great place and we will be back."

"came here with work and this restaurant was recommended as the best Indian restaurant in the thanet area. big shoes to fill. I ordered the railway chicken curry. Now I know that this is a traditional Indian dish, and what I was served was nothing like. well, what I got was okay, but not so advertised and in reality I got a very average chicken cure. also the type that served us could also do with some lections in the customer relationships, as I thought he had a bit of a negative attitude. so in a clam I would recommend the place. no if this is the best thing to offer thanet, then there is a massive opening for someone who can do better and be honest, they don't have to try hard."

"Went here for a Saturday evening early dinner with the family as we were staying locally. Clearly a popular place locally and the Saturday steak night was clearly a big attraction! We decided to order from the regular menu instead but the food was still amazing, loads of steak in the steak pie, lasagne bubbling with cheese and great meals for the children, loads of really nicely cooked vegetables which are often missing at a pub dinner too! Just about managed to stuff in one of their amazing (yet reasonably priced) puddings too! Service was super great too, really attentive without being too much. Price for the quality of the food and service was very good too. Would really recommend!"

"The café is small with a really local feeling. The staff was friendly and authentic. The food was phenomenal, so rich in aromas and depth. It felt like a real treat here. I had the breakfast offer that was excellent. My friend had the Moussaka, the next level was good, would highly recommend."
