"Upon arrival, the blonde waitress appeared stoney faced and unfriendly. We were sat down for 20 minutes before she came and took even our drink order, and when she eventually did, she didn't put the food order into the kitchen for another 5-10 minutes which we could clearly see. We were wondering why this took so long and then turned around to see her nattering away to a lady for about 30 minutes, as well as there being tables full of dirty things which were left for 20 minutes after people left. The food took about half an hour to come out (we only ordered eggs and Avocado on toast and a bacon sandwich) and when it did come out, it was only just warm and there was no apology for the wait. A very very disappointing visit and we will likely not be returning when the blonde waitress is working as she clearly should not.be working in a public facing job."

Without a doubt, the best breakfast we’ve had in Broadstairs! My daughter had a children’s English breakfast, my husband had eggs Benedict and I had the smashed avocado with poached eggs. All was top quality and really well cooked.

I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious veggie and traditional breakfast options. The ingredients are of high quality and reasonably priced. The front of house staff is friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant is dog-friendly. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend it.

Used to be nice this place. Had the most disgusting breakfast this morning. Was swimming in grease use two napkins to mop it up and was still all over the plate. Burnt inedible bits of mushroom dry chewy Nasty sausage. Pulled the chef on it he said nothing. I didn’t eat it and still got charged. Disgusting. Honestly I feel I’ll just for the small amount I ate

The lady behind the counter has ZERO people skills and shouldn't be front of house. Absolutely appalling, unfriendly, unwelcoming place which is a shame as the food for breakfast is quite good. It's as if she's annoyed any customers have turned up and she has to take the order and make the coffee. Ridiculous. Until she is replaced, we definitely won't be visiting again.

The full English breakfast was delicious, as were the poached egg and Avocado on toast. The portions were generous and provided great value for money. The service was friendly and helpful. They also offer options for gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian diets on their menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a quick and satisfying breakfast made with high-quality ingredients!

I used to really enjoy this restaurant, but my recent visit was disappointing. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and the food was not up to the usual standard. The atmosphere was also not great, with greasy dust on the fittings and a sticky table. There are better and cheaper options nearby, so I won't be returning until I see some major improvements. The service was lacking, with no pleasantries or check-ins during the meal.Overall, not a pleasant dining experience.

We went there Thursday 1st June to be told by a lady that she didn’t have staff and there was a family in there and that’s all she had time to serve but the lady didn’t come across friendly next day we liked the look of the menu so thought we would go back as we walked I. No smile or pleasant welcome just we only take cash we were. It made to feel welcome didn’t take any orders or say I be with you in a bit wasn’t friendly after 20 mins of nothing we decided enough was enough and walked out we found another cafe don’t have the name but the guy was run off his feet but smiled gave us updates I just do this and I be with you all you ask is a smile and say I be with you one I have don’t this or...

Unfortunately didn’t feel particularly welcomed upon entry. We were told we couldn’t sit outside because of the folk festival, despite there being chairs and tables outside in full sun, and barely any people around outside. Then we were showed to a dirty table. Smashed avocado left much to be desired. Eggs were poor quality and undercooked. Avocado was overripe, over spiced and lacked seasoning. Bread and bacon were great quality but the knives were too blunt to cut it. The place has great potential, but the beachy instagrammable decor was a stark contrast to the execution of the food. To be fair, they do a mean iced latte. Hope they can turn things around. More smiles, more accommodating th...

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
