"My husband wanted to come here for the “pressed duck” as he loves gourmet experiences. We were astonished with this restaurant. A stubli for us, is a typical alpine restaurant, with the wood paneling, cozy banquets and usually good local food. The setting was all that and more, with candles, fresh flowers and comfortable, uncrowded sitting. On the table was an array of hand made crustini, that was like a “flower arrangement,” so artfully set up and tempting to eat (and delicious to boot). The service was attentive, and welcoming. Anytime the server changed silverware, added another glass, or plate, they wore black gloves to make sure their hands did not touch the item. Very impressive. We shared a mixed salad, (not on the menu) but dressed and divided by the server. The salad was just beautifully arranged. We had the pressed duck, which was prepared at the table. They served one breast first (with lots of vegetables and accompanying food, and took the second one to the kitchen to keep warm and plate once we were done with the first one. Again, service was amazing and the duck was equally impressive. Beside our order, we received two amuse bouche and at the end of the meal a box of sweets. Upon leaving the restaurant we received a small treat to take with us. This is definitely a destination restaurant. They have a couple of pre-fixe menus, or a la carte. You will not be hungry when you leave, and while it is expensive, it is worth it. This was one of the best meals we’ve had. Recommend this highly. Definitely a winner."
