"We had booked a table online and ticked the box “Special Occasion, Birthday”, which of course creates some kind of expectation, otherwise, this option would not be offered. We were looking forward to celebrating my wife’s 60th birthday when passing through Passau. Upon arrival, we...were supposed to be seated right next to the entrance in the half-empty restaurant. We asked gently for another “better” table but were told that the only option was an outside table, as all indoor tables were reserved for other guests “in case of rain”. This fake explanation made no sense, and it took an hour-long exhausting discussion to finally be offered a fairly located table indoors. At this point in time, the good atmosphere was long gone. We should have left. The first course was served in due course, but from there we waited some 75 minutes for the main course. The mushroom soup, we had for a starter was excellent, whereas the two main courses were middle-of-the-road average bistro quality and no way up to the expectations of a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. There was no special attention to the birthday, which added yet one more disappointment the other disappointments. It was an average meal in an average restaurant. Nothing more. As said many times before, a meal is not only about the food itself, but also about the ambiance, the sequencing, the empathy and professionalism of the staff, and the feeling of being valued as a customer. Unfortunately, WeinGut and their inexperienced staff did not manage to meet our expectations."

"A sign outside advertising what's basically German meatloaf (Hackbraten) with mushroom cream sauce and bread dumplings drew me in, and the price seemed OK. I was also drawn in by the large chestnut trees in the beer garden.The food was OK, maybe a little above average; the only thing that was a little off was the texture of the meatloaf (really smooth and almost too soft). However, lots of pork knuckles came out of the kitchen while I was waiting and they looked delicious, with nice, crispy skin. If or when I go back, I'll be ordering one of those.Also, the beer garden is in a convenient location, but the chestnut trees didn't block out as much noise as I had hoped - it's not as much of an oasis in the city as it looks.There were also problems with the service. It seemed like all of the servers except for mine were busting their humps except for her. The server responsible for my section took my order and I didn't see her again until I flagged someone else down to try to pay - the other waiter then had to get her to come over here. (Someone else brought the food, too.) I would have gladly stayed and lingered over a second beer, but no one bothered to ask, even after the glass was empty for a solid five minutes."

"I've lived in Passau for a few months and have been making my way through the city's burger offerings - Segendo, Anemone, etc. Max + Muh was recommended to me and when some burger-loving friends were here yesterday, we decided to give it a try. We were there just after 5 p.m. on a Friday, but over the following hour, the place filled up, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you want to go at a peak time.Our first impressions were good. The beer menu has lots of Bavarian gems (including from the Klosterbrauerei Mallersdorf, Schönramer, and Camba) and we also tried some of the homemade (American-style) lemonade, which comes in flavors including ginger-mint, raspberry, and rhubarb. All of the drinks we ordered were excellent.The burgers were great, too. I had a Cindy + Bert (beef patty, grilled halloumi, bacon, guacamole), one friend had a Bonanza (beef patty, bacon and barbecue sauce), and my other friend had an Olympus (grilled halloumi with basil cream sauce). We were all satisfied. The beef was really juicy and cooked through but not a hockey puck - I've had way too many dried-out burgers around here. The brioche bun did a good job of soaking up most of the juices. All of the burgers came with a small side of cole slaw, which was heavy on the carrots and pretty tasty.We also ordered some sweet potato fries and onion rings. The sweet potato fries were good, but weren't anything special - every time I have ever had sweet potato fries in Germany, they have tasted identical. The onion rings appeared to be hand-battered, but I don't know if they were hand-battered in house or in a factory. I wouldn't have complained about a larger portion, though.Service was friendly and there to ask if we wanted another round of drinks, but wasn't in our face.I'll be coming back."

"Wir waren 14 Ruderer zum IRR in Passau und waren auf ein kohlehydratreiches Abendessen am Vorabend dieser Langstreckenregatta aus. Also lt. GOOGLE zu einem der Top 5 in Passau. Aber GOOGLE hat uns alle enttäuscht!!! Das einzige was passte war der freundliche, lustige und schnelle Service Es war NICHT EIN Nudel-Gericht auf der Karte, KEINE Eiskarte und ohne nachzufragen Wagenräder von Pizzen!!! Die 30cm sollten da als Standard gesetzt sein und nicht einfach 38cm servieren ohne Ansage!!! Und die Bezeichnung scharf bei der Diavola kam trotz extra Chili- und Knoblauchöl nicht im entferntesten an die Erwartung heran. Selbst das Bruschetta gab es nur als Pizzaecke und nicht auf Ciabattabrot... Da reißt das Gesamtergebnis auch die Holzfeuerpizzaöfen nicht raus. Also GOOGLE; das Ranking anpassen!!! Ich hab 's für mich‍"

"Essen ist definitiv essbar. Aber es hat nichts mehr mit dem ursprünglichen vietnamesischen Konzept zu tun. Es schmeckt eher wie eine versehentlich asiatisch angehauchte Wirtshausküche. Personal kennt die Karte nicht, Rückfragen zu 1-2 interessanten Zutaten werden mit Achselzucken quittiert, es gibt keinen Koriander, Bun Bo nam Bo wird mit. gemischten Salat a la Schnitzelbude reserviert. Irgendwie passend dazu: mit Edding beschriftet Tische, die noch fertig sind vom Essen der Vorgänger. Wie gesagt, es ist kein schlechtes Essen, wir hatten kein Bauchweh. Aber waren trotzdem sehr enttäuscht."

"I think i wrote a second review for PADU at Innstrasse some time ago. So now this should be my third time: quality, friendliness, atmosphere and food all same good.Each time i go to a place that i liked in the past, i face 'The Goalkeeper's Fear of the Penalty': will it be as good as it has been the last time? Usually it is not.PADU ***at Innstrasse*** is an exception.Last time i went there the waiter seemed to be in his first month or week. But he was very genuinely friendly and helpful and kind. There is no secret there: the manager who hires people follows a simple rule: what if you serve the best food but the waiters are impolite or rude or ... or ... or ...To run a restaurant of any type is noot rocket science. It only needs people who care for the customers.Padu at Innstrasse does a good job: same as for the TripAdvisor ratings that asks us to rate the food and the service and the value, the formula may be something simple like service + food = value.However, sometimes the food may not be as good or the service may suffer, but the customer (or the reviewer) may still feel that one gets good value.To cut the long story short: PADU is serving super and superb food, offers super and superb service - same also for value."

"The food is not too good for quality. The tastes are amazing. Everything is perfectly seasoned and cooked, or roasted, etc. You were all totally friendly and the ambience is great. Especially with the furnishings and the view of the monastery garden. And there are children's chairs. That's really good! Personally, I would only make a few small details different so that the overall picture fits where you give so much effort. 1. Surely you had a reason, but the windows could have been cleaned at the opening : 2. I asked for a tap water and didn't get one. This should be the case, especially since we left almost 30 euros to two with you and also ordered drinks. 3. It would be nice if the soups and salads were served a little more lovingly and with a piece of bread without having to ask for it. 4. The Dipps to the Garlic Fries (OMG, the Garlic Fries!!!! The best pommes of my life! would I wish in an extra divinity and not on top, because when the first 20 have died, there is no more of the horny sauce. 5. A few more vegetarian alternatives in the sandwiches would be great, especially since the falafels were out when we were there, e.g. Haloumi, Tofu, Vegetable Brewers, etc. You're only in the test phase. All in all just great and I'm looking forward to tasting myself through your offer. We'll be back and forth...."

"Restaurant was quite empty when I arrived but filled up quickly, mostly with German speaking patrons. I had the tomato salad, tea and spaghetti Napoli. The check was 12 euros. The food was terrific and the portions were generous. They only have German language but...for pizza and spaghetti, this posed no problem. The restaurant is located near St Stepen's Dom Square."

"the short version: I gave them a second chance. they have made the order wrong, they have accused me of the wrong order, the supplier did not wear masks and there were haare in my eating. the long version: three years ago I wrote a not so positive...review but the place I normally order Chinese delivery (take them that with a salt grain in the ground all Chinese supply restaurants in passau belong vietnamesen that cook Chinese Isch food modified for the German palate of increased trips and reduced their portions and a well-known told me I should give jento another chance. that was a mistake. even though hygiene and graduation are strongly emphasised at the moment, the delivery driver met me with a mask under his kinen, not over his nose and mouth. the amount I was asked to pay did not correspond to the amount on the website. (I ordered a Massaman curry with bark meat, and the entry listed bark meat and huh. there was only bark meat in the curry, but no chicken. the driver has forgotten my drink, a coca cola, then went back to his car and came with a bottle lift apfelsprayer. he was angry that I didn't want the lift. he proposed to give me a refund and took his time to count his change as if he wanted me to change my mind and pay for the elevator. one of the reasons I decided to order today was special because I wanted a cola, so I wanted to make sure he didn't want the apple splash. the eating tasted ok. jento uses more sweet than its competitors. But when I had eaten, I discovered haare in the food. after all the other problems, it is likely that the restaurant has not yet made any improvements since my last review three years ago. I lost my appetit and wounded the rest of the food. the sad is, jento snacks is about the cheapest place to get a meal with sweetness near my office, so I could give it in other three years or so. check back in 2023."

"Ce restaurant nous a été recommandé par un résident local comme très bon. Quand nous sommes arrivés sans réserve, il était emballé. Nous étions très chanceux d'avoir une table. La décoration est typique d'un restaurant grec, offrant une ambiance agréable. Le personnel ... étaient agréables et serviables. Nous avons partagé la pieuvre grillée comme un démarreur assez cher et légèrement caoutchouc avec Taramasalata et pain de Pitta, qui étaient à la fois agréables. Ceci a été suivi d'un plateau de poisson pour deux qui auraient été beaucoup pour quatre !!!! Nous étions submergés, néanmoins, la nourriture était très agréable, les poissons comprenaient des cernes de Calamari, des zandres, des crevettes de saumon et de papillon, avec beaucoup de pommes de terre frites et de riz de pâtes agréables. Il y avait beaucoup trop pour deux d'entre nous qui ont plutôt gâché notre dîner parce que nous étions submergés par la quantité. L'Ouzo était agréable mais le vin de rose pas aussi. Nous visiterions ce restaurant à nouveau mais commandez des portions plus petites ou simples"

"After our river cruise we decided to get some lunch. We walked along the shops and restaurants by the river and decided on Koniglich Bayrisch. The back of the menu was in English. I ordered breaded veal, fried potatoes and gravy. My husband ordered the...same as well and a bowl of soup to start. She brought his soup, and one plate of something I didn't recognize. It was some sort of kabob with what looked like squares of fried bologna with peppers and onions and French fries. I always try to avoid French fries in Europe because we get enough of that at home in the US. Menus typically list French fries, so I assumed I was getting sliced fried potatoes. When I got the plate, we were both glad she misunderstood that we had each ordered a plate of this kabob meal. My husband ate his soup and I shared my plate with him, we paid and left. If you visit this restaurant, be sure you understand what you are getting. They also have outdoor dining."

"Da das Cafe Duft immer als so wahnsinnig toll betitelt wird, wagte ich einen Ausflug mit Freundinnen, die zu Besuch waren, dorthin. Schlechte Entscheidung .. Wir sind für Kaffee und Kuchen dorthin gegangen, der Käsekuchen, den man mir brache, war schimmelig mit grünen Flecken obendrauf und als ich ihn reklamiert habe, sagte der Kellner doch ernsthaft "nein das ist kein schimmel" Nach 5 min diskutieren hat er das Stück zurückgenommen. Sich für den Fehler entstschuldigt? Fehlanzeige! Ein neues Stück gebracht oder einen Kaffee gratis Fehlanzeige. Alles in allem eine einzige Enttäuschung. Schlechtes Essen, dreister und schlechter Service, kaltes Ambiente .."

"Very recommended place. Young team, the modern, high-quality food handcrafted well prepared. We were there for dinner yesterday (a tip of a service in another place where we also had a very good lunch) and were thrilled. My wife used the opportunity to make various dishes vegan. She had a risotto with pifferlings, which was extremely good, as well as a supplement salad, I had relatively conventional chicken fillet with couscous. This dish was also perfectly prepared and dressed with tasty sauces or foam. Also friendly service and reasonable prices 5 stars earned loose!!!"

"Die Lage in Passaus Naherholungsgebiet Nr.1, direkt an der Ilz lässt keine Wünsche offen. Leider ist das Positive über den Gasthof bereits damit gesagt. Lediglich der Biergarten mit einem gewissen Charme kann noch etwas punkten. Leider fängt es dort aber schon Minuspunkte zu sammeln, denn der Chef stellt regelmäßig bei mäßigem Betrieb ein Hinweisschild auf dass der Gastgarten ab einem gewissen Punkt geschlossen ist, nur um nicht ein paar Meter weiter laufen zu müssen- es sei ihm soweit verziehen. Dass er jedoch dann samt seinem jungen Kollegen sich anstatt zu bedienen um dem Wort "Service" seinen Sinn zu verleihen, mit diesem an einen der freien Tische setzt um ihrer Sucht- dem Rauchen- zu frönen ist dann doch zu viel des Guten. Dies haben wir nicht nur einmal erlebt, sondern ist ein Dauerzustand- die osteuropäischen Bedienungen die die letzten Jahre die Sommersaison den Service bedient haben waren da wesentlich schneller, freundlicher und geschäftstüchtiger. Wenn die Sucht ruft hat der Gast zu warten. Die Gäste die letztens neben uns saßen warteten bereits eine viertel Stunde und haben es in dieser Zeit nicht geschafft eine Bestellung abgeben und die Gläser auf den anderen Tischen waren auch überwiegend leer. Wir besuchen den Biergarten nur noch ab und an nach einer Wanderung im Ilztal auf ein Getränk- das Essen ist maximal als Notlösung zu bezeichnen- eine Anfahrt aus Passau lohnt sich definitiv bei den anderen gastronomischen Angeboten der Stadt nicht."

"After hours travelling on the German motorway in poor weather we were looking for a comfortable hotel in the city centre of Passau and we found it in this Hotel. Easily found from the motorway, right in the historic centre, overlooking the river with...easy and convenient parking. The bonus was the restaurant as the weather had turned foul and we did not want to search for a place to eat. The menu was varied with both Bavarian and Serb/Croatian dishes, all very reasonably priced. Breakfast was included in the room price and was a comprehensive buffet which made the start of another long day bearable, Having had dinner we braved the foul weather and explored the immeadiate area of the historic town. Being close to the Christmas feative season we had to see the Market that was infront of the Basilica which was minutes from the hotel. We will be back."

"The cheap lunch card was tested, in the evening it can look different... BEDING Friendly welcome, I was left time for the beverage selection, fast delivery of food and drink. It was also asked during the meal if everything fits. Paying went too hard. All in all a good performance. ESSEN A steak with potato slices, a salad set, a tomato soup and an ouzo (which was certainly not for the good friends from the appropriate advertising) was eaten by the cheap lunch card. All for 6 euros! Of course, there is no high demands. But it was absolutely okay for hunger to stop in passing or for the lunch break. The steak was juicy, the tomato soup didn't taste like water. Unfortunately there was no Tzaziki o. Some finished products were probably used, but at this price you just have to expect. RESTAURANT/AMBIENTE The restaurant is located in the immediate vicinity of the university or the clinic and the children's clinic. You can park directly in front of the house (places are limited), the house is barrier-free, toilets flattering, but somewhat tight. You can sit well in front of the restaurant (pitches with sun and shadows), but a busy road leads past the restaurant. There's something out there that cut the tooth of time, but it still fits. The inner corresponds to a typical Greek without weaknesses and without higlights. SAUBERKEIT: The restaurant and the toilets were so clean, only upstairs on the partitions I found some dust."
