"I've been going there every time I go to Dusseldorf and am usually happy because I don't find this type of food where I live. I admit that the food quality is good, HOWEVER, when I went there a couple of days ago, a day before Japan day, I was somewhat upset.Since I was with a party of 10 people out of which 9 are non Japanese, I decided to plan the menu ahead of time. When I contacted the restaurant a couple of months ago, they offered what they say is "Kushitei's convenient party menu". The minimum order is for 8 people which should be confirmed at least a day before and a no show is subject to payment. I chose the 40 Euro course which, among other thing, it said to include a 10 mixed skewers of meat (kushiyaki 10pon moriawase). When we got there, we receive instead, two plates of 10 mixed skewers to be divided by the 8 people, which is 2.5 skewers each. The other dishes, the restaurant basically brought two portions of each listed (in the special menu) items. This said, mathematically speaking, I am wondering how many skewers it would have brought if we would have ordered for 9 persons: 12.5 skewers ?As I was bored today, I made a convenience analysis of the menu and the result was: price wise we did get about 2-4 Euro discount per headcount , but we don't get to pick the dishes and some were those we wouldn't have ordered if given a choice, and moreover we had a commitment to pay even if some of us did not show up. This said, if by any chance you are planning ahead and are offered this menu, think twice: the 2-4 euro saving is not worth the commitment nor the the loss of liberty to choose the dishes. This time, beside the deceiving 10 skewers offer, the lady who served was really bad at delivering our orders and now that I think about it, the service was always bad. Overall, this place is expensive. I am NOT writing this review to show hatred. I still love their food and I would still go there when I will return to Dusseldorf. I just wish that the restaurant would review their service and really come up with a menu which a customer would really think he or she got a deal, rather that having him doubting whether he was ripped off or not."

"what a catastrophic! the dawned barrels were already in the sun for a few days. or there was otherwise a serious quality problem with my very first uerige, taken on the benrather bierbörse a few years ago see discussion there. Since then, I've been keeping myself in the estimated capital of the country more beautiful. But now, in the framework of the recent cultural heritage, including drinking culture, the opportunity for the second chance, which each of us deserves, and therefore also every old beer. between two musentempel inspections gave 's the uerige initially from this aparte bow closure bottle. aha, go! a little hearty, rich, tasty. and it was already clear that the favorite villager and I would decide the most successful day in the freshly tapped original. Rhine-likely, you can first place yourself in the very well visited outdoor gastronomy, the so-called forum uerigianum des hauses. the short waiting time for the cool wet is bridged in anecdote region even with temporary participation of the other beer table occupation. but when it comes to running, then it's also running the bock sausages of the tiger and my growing salad proves to be solid. for larger rounds, there would be the original plate with 10 or 20 slices of bread. Culinary manifestations are of course not expected here. the kitchen of the uerige may be classified as varied. next to the standard brewhouse card, there are warm, seasonally adjusted daily dishes such as königsberger klopse, suppen or kohlroulade in the price range from 4 to 10 euro. the uerige haxe has it in itself also financially: 17.10 euro buffets of different equipment and price classes are built for companies from 20 people. after a short, refreshing old town tour, the meeting was continued in the inner of the uerige one had again appetit and now fed à la carte: the mettbrötchen were taufresh and expertly well advised in each view. about my goat cheese with pumpernickel, rucola and fine dressing I can also not complain. as a conclusion, I was able to treat myself with the uerige schokoladen altbier mousse, stilecht kredenzt in 0,25l small-banded. because the possible beer content is not perceptible in addition to the dominant schoggi, the beer glass was gradually transported. (citat eknarf: 'it has also been a deadly one' to the end of the experiment, the now drinking chocolate proved to be a real taste experience and is expressly recommended for imitation. next to the cozy brewhouse with 150 places and views to the in-house sudhaus, the uerige has several other rooms, optionally with arched ceiling, itstorizing or trendy elegant: the stickum in the next building. I can't tell about the toilets because I seem to have a bigger blase than others. the daily total of 2.5 l showed no adverse effects on Sunday afternoon. even if 'dat tasty dröppke' is not my favorite beer, this clearly speaks for carefree and quality. the latter may also apply to the uerige variants, sticks (6% instead of 4.7% alc. available only in januar and oktober and the barrels with dull or rhabarberadditiw. the in-house distillery originates the bierbrände and a highly exclusive, but only three years and therefore probably quite adventurous single malt whisky. wonderfully pearling entertainment (not only about the plated förmle, which must be temporarily guided in increased loudness. but at least the maid table (with quote-jüngling the poorest next door is amazingly calm. friendly, mostly flashy babes leave no one thursed and are even ready to talk. in the whole: brewhouse culture at its best. high praise and impressive recommendation from the wooden. with excellent esteem, sir thomas"

"I've been eating here for months and to my surprise today, I've decided to never again return or recommend this place to anyone. Why? As I sat at the counter for the first time, I did what I do at all other places, watch how they cook the food in the open kitchen. It was about 4pm, the usual people are not working in the kitchen, but I recognize the serving staff. What I noticed disgusted me. I saw one serving staff member put bowl after bowl of noodles into the microwave to heat up. Then pour the broth on top. I never saw any one of them put a ball of noodles into the hot water to cook. She'd scoop rice from the rice cooker, pour on the curry sauce but none of the usual ramen cooking procedures I'm used to seeing in other shops around the world. So I got the attention of my waitress and asked her in German why are they using the microwave to heat up food? She Didn't answer after I repeated the question multiple times. Then I thought, okay fine maybe her German is bad. I offered to ask in English but she said German conversation is better. Okay sure. So why not answer me. She said, oh you cannot see from this angle at the bar how we cook the noodles. I corrected her, and said I definitely can see if they're putting anything into the pots of water. How dare they lie to my face. Seriously I am never going back. If their Cook is not able to work then they should just close shop for the day. Don't heat up the noodles in the microwave. Now I know why the noodles doesn't taste right or have a good texture, before. I am not paying any money for microwaved foods, especially when I don't even do that at home. Shame on you for ruining ramen!"
