A very atmospheric inn with low beam ceilings. There is a more lively bar area and a more quiet, spacious room to the right. It welcomes children and dogs. We only stopped in for a drink.

The lady behind the bar was very friendly, but I found the bald-headed man to be quite abrupt. I tried to discuss the history of the inn, which dates back to 1516, but I found it difficult to have a conversation with him, especially considering it's the oldest inn in Cornwall. Overall, I'd rate the service a 4.

Such a wonderful pub great atmosphere, lovely staff, great service and delicious food. My partner and I are vegan, they had a good selection of options for us. We had the ravioli and it was excellent. The atmosphere in the pub was so warm, friendly, cheerful and cosy. The sea chanty night was interesting and good fun, the group Minor Quay was amazing.
