"I booked this for the Bowls club end of season get together. I was a little concerned that they wouldn’t cope with 18 people at once, however, I couldn’t have been more wrong. From our arrival spread over about 20 minutes to us leaving, we were looked after by the staff and were never without food or drinks. We chose to have a selection of starters picked by our hosts, and individually chose our main course and side dishes. Food was great and plentiful as was the service. As people began to leave to go home, two people came back in as their taxi was delayed. They were sat down and given coffee while they waited. Thank you Zzohanna, we will return as a team and I’m sure individually with our partners and friends. I recommend that you give this place a try."

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at this restaurant, the prices were very reasonable, the place was very clean and had a relaxed vibe. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to St Ives! Voir le carte

Could not fault the meal in any way. Good service attentive but to too attentive. Food delicious and prompt without rushing us. We found there assessment of spiciness to be on the gentle side. Their medium is quite mild.

Went for birthday with my partner and family. This is our favourite Indian and it didn’t disappoint. The service was quick and friendly the food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. Would recommend booking as it’s not huge but the food is worth it.

The Indian cuisine at this restaurant is excellent, and the service is very attentive. We all thoroughly enjoyed the range of Indian dishes we ordered. Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the white wine we selected, but the owner overheard our conversation and kindly offered us a replacement. Voir le carte

My experience at the restaurant last night was fantastic. The manager was very accommodating and was able to seat our group of 14 on short notice. The food was exceptional, especially the chicken and mushroom vindaloo which was one of the best I've ever had. Everyone in our group, many of whom are familiar with good curry from the West Midlands, also enjoyed their meals. The staff were welcoming and provided excellent service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others. Thank you to the management and staff for a wonderful evening.

Went to the zzohana in St Ives tonight was met at the door by an off putting waiter who hadn't any idea how to treat customers, and gave the impression he didn't want to be there, and after starters cleared plates while my wife was eating, the chicken on all 3 main courses was dry like it had been pre cooked I found the food expensive for the standard we received and there's plenty of Indian restaurants in the area of higher quality and less expensive, I definitely won't be going back, regardless of the many good reviews. Therfore I only give 2 stars on food alone I could probably give it 3.

"We 're looking forward to trying the Pheasant again on a normal day. We went on Boxing Day and it was pretty disastrous. Meant to be a treat but it certainly wasn 't. Starters were nice, no cooking involved apart from the pesto. Then the mains. The beef was grey, not pink as I was told it would be but it was tender. The roast potatoes tasted a bit old but there were plenty. The Chantenay carrots were very soft. The Savoy cabbage was perfect but the portion was tiny. The gravy was nice but we got a different variety when we asked for more. The Yorkshire pudding was the main disaster; it seemed old, and very hard to the point of shattering. Desserts. The sticky toffee pudding was fine although the serving of sauce was very mean. The clotted cream with it is, in my opinion, the best way to serve this pudding, it 's a relief from all the sweetness. The apple crumble was terrible; it came in a bowl with the custard already in it with the pudding. The apple was sour and the crumble was squidgy stodge. The service was fine although some staff not yet fully professional. We would have expected a welcoming hello and goodbye but that didn 't happen. Our overall feeling was that there was serious penny pinching going on with the mains and desserts but this is a very bad idea when you are judged on your last meal but we do intend to try again because it 's such a wonderful building and we 've had many good experiences in The Pheasant, perhaps before the present owners, we 're not really sure."
