Zi's Cafe - Carte

I went with Chinese friends who ordered the food, and they ordered a very nice aubergine dish. The people serving were friendly.

Good service. Food was tasty, however the prawn crackers were cold, and salt and pepper chicken really dry. Wouldn’t hurry back due to that reason.

First in the cafe at lunchtime, we were a family of four and shared one of the set dinners. All the food was delicious. We will certainly go again! Voir le carte

I tried several vegan and gluten free dishes and found most to be ok. The bean curd dish was not to my taste at all. The fried rice tasted very good!

This was my first time here. Both food and service were really good. We tried a range of dishes of meat and vegetables and cleared our plates. I would definitely recommend to friends and overall great value for money. I'll be back!

Take away delivered very late, and when it arrived was unpleasant chewy and we gave up on eating it. When we complained a man came to pick it up but proceeded to unpack it all on our doorstep to check we hadn't eaten it all. Heard nothing since as he argued how many chicken balls we had eaten. After waiting 15 mins to be served, We ordered three dishes. The chef seemed over exuberant with salt. Each dish was very salty. In addition, the General Tso’s chicken dish was just oozing too much soy sauce, that was all you could taste. Spare ribs dish. There weren’t many spare ribs at all. Very limited. Overall disappointing and somewhere that we thought we would try but know we would never return.

This restaurant/takeaway is by far the best Chinese food I have had in the UK. The food is not like your standard Chinese takeaway( they all taste the same with way to much salt). From zi's the taste is incredible, full of flavour and the menu has so many different options. I can highly recommend the chicken with leak and dried chilli, there ribs are also best I've had. Overall you need to try Zi's, it's incredible.

Definitely give Zi's a go if you have a group to feed! It's a little trickier to buy for just yourself, but it works out cheap when sharing or if you spread over two meals. I love the deep fried aubergine, bean curd in black bean sauce, etc. never had a dish that I didn't enjoy here, eating in or taking away. Note that rice has to be ordered separately, but the portions are generous. Have only had takeaway since covid pandemic began, but still the same quality and I would assume that they would be able to provide seating as they have quite a lot of space inside to allow for social distancing! When i've been in, Zi's has a warm environment and the staff have always been helpful and welcoming.... Voir le carte
