Yoshino - Carte

A must stop on Saturdays when it is less busy. Ask for kaiseki and sake. Their fish is unreal, melting in your mouth, both tuna toro and salmon.

Recommend by a Japanese friend I was not disappointed. One of the few true Japanese restaurant in London. No fusion food or fake Chinese. You can really find the real Japanese taste at Yoshino. Lunch set menus are substantial and of high quality.

A fantastic meal with great service. Had a set menu and everything was so tasty. The lady who works there is fantastic restaurant was extremely busy and the service did not drop despite her working on her own. Would visit for sure next time I’m in London Voir le carte

Had a very enjoyable lunch here, friendly staff, beautifully presented food. It’s down a side street so is very quiet, and inside it reminds you of being in Japan in its decor. It’s not cheap but it’s London so what do you expect? Would definitely come again.

Sashimi not the freshest, only on starter menu Tempura not crisp, dipping liquor fruity portions very small even for a location right on Piccadilly prices much too high quality poor, had better in Crouch End wish I'd gone up into Soho, thought Piccadilly meant quality: no just a trap for tourists avoid, wish I'd read the reviews

What an absolutely amazing night at Yoshino. I’ve eaten at many Japanese restaurants before, but none matched up to the quality, friendliness, charm, and amazing dishes. Lisa is an absolute delight and makes every customer feel like they are incredibly special. The dishes were exquisite and the chocolate sorbet was to die for. Really expensive for tiny plates of food. If the food had been 5* it would have been justified, but it absolutely wasn’t. One caveat I’d give to this review is I think it’s hallmark is bbq which we didn’t have. But yeah, save your money and go elsewhere for something probably much tastier. Should say, the lady who sat us down and took our bill at the end was 5/5. Fee bad about giving the restaurant overall a bad review with her great hospitality

It was on 18th JUL, my last stay in London with my girl friend. Very clean, well educated staffs, presentation of dishes are fantastic. Further more, at last, 1st floor was private room like. Thank you, Lisa. We came here as a small group for dinner having read very good reviews. Unfortunately the meal was terribly disappointing across many fronts and as such I cannot recommend Restaurant Yoshino to anyone. Firstly, the food was substandard with many better Japanese options nearby. The sushi has meagre amounts of fish and is of poor quality the slightly greying and flavourless tuna sashimi was so thinly sliced that it was basically carpaccio. To say that the fish was practically translucent is not an understatement. Secondly, wagyu motsu ni (a soup made with various wagyu cuts is in fact entirely based on tripe.
