Had most probably one of the best meals for ages. All the food was lovely. All very hot when it came out. And all the staff were very accommodating

Our group of four had a really great three course Christmas meal here so tasty and enjoyable! Enjoyed the ambience with Christmas decorations, Christmas crackers and a log fire too!

Was invited by friends to a Saturday lunch at this pub. The menu is old fashioned, the food nearly passable and expensive. It’s quite clear this pub is living in the past of the good old days and not moved with the times. I presume the landlord does not get out much and see what’s happening in the food scene and flexible enough to bring his menu into what people want today.

The restaurant's sandwich options are unusual, with choices like ham and tomato instead of the more common ham and cheese. The staff, particularly the barmaid, appeared to lack charisma and were not very accommodating. Despite this, the food was good but on the pricier side. Overall, not a total disappointment but some improvements could be made in terms of menu options and service.

This restaurant is a hidden gem, with a charming old-world pub interior featuring exposed beams, dim lighting, and a cozy fireplace. We were recommended this place by Three Trees Campsite and were delighted at how welcoming they were to our Bernese Mountain Dog. It was nice to revisit this pub restaurant that we've enjoyed a number of times in the past. Particularly good was the addition of a separate curry menu (which several of us ordered from) to the normal a la carte. There were 8 of us and everyone enjoyed their meals. However, the staff were much less attentive than usual and for some reason we were seated in a large empy part of the restautant at the rear, which was cold.

We have dined at this pub/restuarant on many occasions and for dinner and lunch and the food has always been excellent and staff very attentive. Our last visit was back in August on a Saturday evening. My partner had the Curry and he says it was up to Indian Restuarant standard and throughly enjoyed it. You do not often get Curries of that standard in a English Pub. My Fish and Chips were perfect. We have never been disatisfied with whatever we have eaten here in the past. The staff are friendly and always welcome with a hello and a goodbye!!! We will be back again!!

My partner and I stopped at this restaurant before attending a wedding reception next door at the golf course, and we found it to be very expensive. I understand that the location might play a part in the pricing, but paying over £15.00 for just one pint and one vodka lemonade and lime seems excessive. We sat outdoors and had trouble with the chairs getting stuck between the slabs, making them unstable. It seems like the ground could benefit from some regrouting or pointing. I had been interested in trying the food here, but after seeing the high prices for drinks, I will probably avoid coming back. Voir le carte
