The café area is clean and the service is excellent. The staff are friendly and polite. It's a lovely spot to sit on the wharf, enjoying the view of the ducks and geese against a beautiful backdrop.

Had a fruit scone. I will not have one again if I am with someone else as it was very compact and a bit dry meaning it took ages to swallow to be able to talk. Went upstairs to sit which was lovely and warm. Voir le carte

it would have been a 5 since the staff was very friendly, but I thought £2.30 was a shed steep for a pot tee for one and there was nothing gluten-free for me to eat. the girl said there would be a delivery the next day with gf cake on it, but a bit late for me

I enjoyed a tuna panini that was accompanied by a fresh salad and some delicious homemade coleslaw, along with a pumpkin latte that made the visit worthwhile. Overall, I would rate the food as 5, the service as 5, and the atmosphere as 5. Definitely a great place to dine in! Voir le carte

The coffee is excellent, and the homemade items are fantastic. The atmosphere is comfortable and clean, with restrooms located upstairs. There are numerous hiking areas nearby, as well as a lovely canal. You can park by the meter near the mill or find free parking along the road.

Absolutely! The experience was quite enjoyable. I had a coffee and a slice of cake for just £6.50, which I think is reasonable. However, parking in the lot for two hours cost £2.50. This is a great spot where my friends and I often meet up. One downside is that the restroom accessibility is limited; the only restroom is upstairs, and I didn’t notice any facilities for disabled access. Overall, we had a nice brunch here!

"The staff as normal were fabulous, however our main courses were very disappointing, I had the grouse and it was severely undercooked, the waitress had said that it comes pink which I have no problem with, in fact I don’t mind my meat pink, however the breast was seared on one side then from there all the way through it was just raw, they hadn’t even seared both sides, it looked like a piece of raw liver is the only way to describe it. My hubby gave me a piece of his lamb and I gave him my grouse breast, but it was even too raw for him and he wouldn’t eat it. His lamb was no better again the waitress informed us that it comes pink, again no problem but again it was undercooked, the steak knife struggled to cut it and it was a poor cut of meat. The waitress offered to have it recooked but by that time I’d eaten most of the meal (except the meat) and I wasn’t prepared to wait for 3 small pieces of meat to be brought back to us. The mushroom part was also awful, there were no mushroom caps, just the woody underneath of it and it tasted nasty is I also left that so all I had was the potatoes and broccoli. We had been only visited weeks before and I’d had the grouse and it was amazing, I honestly can’t think what went wrong. We also had to wait over 20 minutes for our desserts (both of which were cold) for saying it was 3 courses we were there over 2 hours. I know we won’t be visiting again for a while."
