Not many pubs left like this one. A great old fashioned boozer which gives good service, good beer and a great welcome.

Highly recommend visiting The White Lion at Earby the food is amazing and Aspalls cider is pretty special too. Local butchers steak with the best peppercorn sauce I have ever had. Service was spot on. Will definately be returning.

Called at The White Lion for Sunday lunch. Hubby had the carrot and sweet potato soup to start which was really tasty. We both had a roast dinner, chicken and beef. Beautiful! I had the waffles, banana and ice cream dessert which was delicious. Great, friendly service, lovely atmosphere and great value for money.

Had an afternoon walk and popped in for a drink , greeted by lovely friendly staff and customers with dogs , not to everybody's taste but was for me great , had a feel of a good local pub , did not eat but had a extencive menu . Good choice of ales , felt very welcoming , nice couple of hours catching up on news with a friend

Tried to come to this pub with my friends for a drink before we went into town, unfortunately we got told to leave before we’d even entered the premises. We are all of age but wasn’t even asked that question before we entered. When asked why we needed to leave we were told ‘ta ra’. We were treated unfairly and judged on our age. I feel solely disappointed.

Having tried the food at The White Lion in April, following the refurb, we were sadly left less than impressed. Having been told of a new chef at The White Lion in July, we decided to give the food another try. Today we ate there, and we were more than pleasantly surprised, the food was fantastic! I would highly recommend the Sunday roast platter. You get 3 generous servings of different meats, cooked to your liking. Lots of fresh veggies, mashed potatoes, roasties and homemade Yorkshire puddings. The portion sizing was more than generous, and all at a reasonable price. Roll on next Sunday!!!

We've just got back from having Sunday lunch at the White Lion, and both my wife and I are absolutely stuffed. We specifically wanted a traditional Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. It was truly magnificent! There's a choice of three roasts beef, pork or turkey we went for the latter. The sliced were thick and tender, the Yorkshire Puddings I'm sure were home made and very fresh, the gravy was delicious, and there was sufficient veg for a family! Mashed potato was perfect, as were the roasties again, obviously home cooked, not out of a packet. This (or similar) review MAY appear twice, as Trip Advisor for some reason or other has created a new account for me

I only have positives for this wonderful Pub/Restaurant. Upon walking in either outside in a lovely area) or inside everyone said hello..wow such a friendly lovely pub!..All the Staff are so accommodating and they treat customers like family. The Landlords are really lovely and friendly...they go the extra mile to make the community and anyone who visits a most wonderful time. There are lots of things going on at weekend and Quiz on Thursdays which is great fun. We visited the White Lion again about 3 weeks ago. There was a great atmosphere and you could tell that Adam and Paul have been working hard. We telephoned to say that we were on our way, and could they save us some food as we were hungry. I had the burger and my friend had the bbq chicken pitta. I was not disappointed, the food was lovely. In the evening there was an 80s and 90s act on for Adams birthday. It was a great night. We met many of the locals, whom were all welcoming and chatty. The pub has been done up and looks lovely. As per our visit last time, we stand by our review that nothing is too much trouble. The area is lovely. I can't wait to come back and try the lasagne.
