Lovely tea room with range of food .... only had a pot of tea which was just right.... wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Delicious cakes and really friendly staff. Male server asked if I wanted my milk or hot water in my tea pot to be filled up, which I haven’t been asked elsewhere. Lovely gifts and cards for sale too.

Outstanding coffee in a beautiful village. Perfect place to stop for lunch ! Recommend the fresh orange with BLT and rocky road, but I must say the lunchtime special tarts look amazing too. Make time to stop here it’s well worth it.

Love love love this place!! They do the best cherry almond scones. As regular walkers in the Peak District we always love to visit a local cafe and can honestly say this place (along with Edensor tea cottage) are outstanding. Small but perfectly formed, describes this venue! Plenty of outdoor seating, but weather was a little variable for that option when we visited. Lovely staff and food that tasted every bit as good as it looked. We had spinach and feta tart and a roasted veg, chilli jam, cheese toasty, both served with a delicious homemade coleslaw, and great coffee. Not the cheapest lunch out there, but definately worth the money.

This is, far and away my favourite cafe in the Peak District, and there are lost of lovely ones to choose from! The atmosphere is lovely, the coffee is the best, the food is delicious, and the staff are just so lovely and friendly. Sara and her family are very special and this comes across in their cafe. They always remember what I have and always bring water to the table, and are always accommodating when my dog, baby and I come and take over the place!

Best local business for takeaway food and hot drinks. Me and my mother are vegan and have always had delicious options at the Village Green. The takeaway coffees are also lovely, like our own little Starbucks in the heart of the village. Service is friendly and fast, prices are reasonable and the location is charming, clean and welcoming. Highly recommend. Be warned, if you take a pastry home, the stuff goes everywhere. Have a dog on hand to hoover up the debris. Voir le carte
