"What a wonderful discovery! While on vacation, we decided to have Sunday lunch at a restaurant we found with great reviews. We were happy that we made a reservation, as the old pub was charming and located up the hill in Boscastle with a convenient car park. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, especially the roast which three of us ordered. It was honestly one of the best pub roasts we've ever had - tasty, generous portions, well-cooked, hot, and full of flavor. The fish and chips were also delicious, with fresh, light fish and crispy batter, accompanied by tasty chips. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend a visit."

"They have a free campsite here which is brilliant. Good flat pitches and a toilet with shower that you can use. We had a meal in the pub which for the most part was ok but one of the meals was not very good, nuked new potatoes which were quite inedible and Hunters Chicken which was just a butterflied chicken breast smothered in bottled barbecue sauce with a strange cheese topping! To be fair the staff were very helpful and understanding and took the price of this meal off the bill. It was probably just a one-off as they seemed to be having staffing issues. It is a quaint pub with a good atmosphere."

"here for a cream tea stopped! we both wanted to have one as the board outside the caffes said cream tea for one, but decided to share one, as this was already our third cream tee in as many days as uou can see from the photo, we're very happy that we, as it consisted of 2 very big scones, and fantastic generous portions of jam and tarted cream we were very fast served by a very polite. a credit to the caffe and great to see these days. the creamtee itself was beautiful! I had also known a filter coffee (also, annoying as americano! which was both beautiful and hot, and tastefully we really enjoyed our afternoon look and go so far that from all the cream teas we had, this was the winner "

"Visited Tintagel Castle yesterday and we are not from the area so didn’t know most kitchens closed mid afternoon. To set the scene the rain had just started to pour and it was incredibly windy, so we were cold, wet and hungry! After getting the cold shoulder at King Arthur’s Cafe, my husband and I headed to Ye Olde Malthouse Inn to look for a light bite. The landlady was so welcoming and pleasant. She kindly told us that the kitchen was closed but that we were more than welcome to get some food from elsewhere and come back to stay warm and dry. Really restored our faith in kind and decent human beings. Thank you, a little bit of kindness goes a long way and if we visit Tintagel or nearby again, we would happily book a room at the Inn."
