Unique Fish Kebab - Carte

We started coming back here a few weeks ago and noticed a big improvement in the fish and batter. Huge portions and very nicely cooked fish and chips. Will be back.

Been getting our regular Saturday night takeaway from here for years now and always excellent ,great chippy. We ring our order through always 10-15min to collection.

We regularly use Unique about once a month. The food is always fresh and the fish cooked well. The staff are polite and the prices are reasonable. If you want F&C then this is the place to go on the Island Voir le carte

We had Chips in Pitta Bread and battered sausage and they were both excellent, I would say the chips in Pitta were the best I have ever had, very reasonably priced and lovely and hot. Would definitely use again.

We get fish and chips there every other week, when we take the in-laws shopping down, and they are such a friendly bunch, we phone the order through and they usually say 10 minutes, when we get there they see us pull up and start bagging it up. Never had any problems

I have already left a review for their kebabs which were spectacular.... Last night we tried the fish prepared to be disappointed. The haddock was amazing. Fresh, not dry with an excellent crispy batter. We will definitely be coming back soon for another! Many thanks Unique! Voir le carte

Just ordered mixed grill for 2 Wow it was fantastic. Nicely cooked and plenty of everything. We ordered a portion of chips to go with it but couldn't eat them as there was so much delicious kebab variety. Great value too. It's our last night of holiday or we would be eating here every night!

Chippy for the thinking Mersea Island Man or Woman Shed load of perfectly fried chips, so if you are on a budget one portion will easily serve two kids, get the chip spoon out and wop those chips on their plate they will be in heaven, Light crispy golden battered quality Fish Wrapped in paper as they should be to be honest. Not pre cooked chips, an underwelming sized piece of Fish and served with a little slice of Lemon in a little cardboard box. Thats for babies that is. To top it all off friendly service that appreciates your custom. What more do you want ?? DO IT

And they also need to learn what 20 minutes is! Went to get a take away tonight, was told 20 minutes which ended up being an hour. When my wife asked (after an hour) how much longer, she was told “IM BUSY” food had been sat waiting for 20 minutes in a box on the counter. Then she was told to “just take her food!” Needless to say when we got it home, it was cold. The guy is lucky that my wife filled me in on what was said once we were way way down the road. Had I known while we were there, he would have been picking his teeth out of the chip fryer! If you want cold food, hideous attitude to customers as a 1 hour wait, you’ll get all three here!
