"Not our first trip to the revamped Travellers Friend. It was an un-busy Wednesday lunchtime and only two other tables were occupied. The lunch menu is a stripped down gastro-pub affair but everything on it is a winner in my book. Despite the lack of customers the service was a bit hit and miss but thoroughly polite and charming nonetheless. The food is first-rate, especially the fish on offer when we visited. A big lunch for 3 of us cost £60 plus the tip, which is good value considering the quality of the food and the comfort of the smart dining room."

Great place, lovely food ... enjoyed watching the open kitchen. Pub feel at the front and gastro pub feel at the back, good atmosphere, we will be back.

This is a fantastic place for family celebrations. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious, and there's a great selection of craft beers. Plus, there's convenient parking nearby.

The staff is friendly, the food is exceptional, and there's a lovely garden area where you can bask in the sun. The pub is also bicycle-friendly; you can keep your bike right next to your table in the garden, even though it's not widely advertised. This place gets quite busy, especially on Sunday afternoons, so it's best to arrive early. Voir le carte

Friendly and efficient service. Clean bar restaurant and facilities. Large well maintained and decorated outside garden area. The food vegetarian roast was very good and the vegetables very fresh as was my friends chicken roast. The only thing that was not so good was how many things werent available on the menu. We will definitely be going back.

we went for a Sunday roast and the experience was just great. my own and my partner both went for the black bell option. the portion size was good and the accompanied veg was very nice. the only disappointment that was so hard was impossible to eat. I went for brownie with celestial sorbet, the honest is the best dessert I have eaten everywhere. I am not a big fan of the pub itself, but in any case to eat again.
