Trader Vic`s - Menu

It was fun but more than a little weird to be sitting in a Trader Vic's in Munich. The drinks were good but the food and the service were average.

Constantly visiting Trader, food is great, good atmosphere, customer service is always amazing. Special thank you for Elena for giving us her best service at anytime.

It wasn’t really bad, just weird to be sitting in an oversized straw chair in the basement of the Bayerisherhof Hotel. The food was average as was the service. It was a freebie with Fine Hotels and Resorts. We should have passed on it for...a better, authentic Bavarian meal.

having fond memories over decades after the renovation the trader vic s at bayerischer hof is a legend!drinks food and service deserve star exsp restaurant manager heike! its not ony having dinner its like being in a dfferent world for a few hours! prices...are absolutely fair and quality of food worth every cent....its a absolute favourite in munich and thanx to mrs volkhardt a legend in the coulinary germany....cannot wait to be back!!!bravo bravo bravo

I heard about this restaurant for a long time time as it is located inside the prestigious Bayerischer Hof Hotel in Munich. For starters it is located underground and they don't offer WiFi: I had to go back upstairs and ask the concierge if he...could kindly grant me WiFi access to the hotel network. Tried a sup, spring rolls, dim sum and a duck dish: All average at best. Service was OK but not very attentive to us, they never came to check if we were satisfied with our food. Disappointing experience.

We visited Trader Vic's our last night in Munich looking for a taste of home as well as a break from beer and sausage. The drinks were good and our mix of small plates hit the spot, especially the fried prawns. Our letdown was in...the service provided. Our server seemed more interested in talking with other staffers and locals, and forgot to bring our spring rolls and the bottle of water we requested. Fortunately we did not get charged, but some water with dinner would have been nice. Getting used to mixed service in Germany, but for this price point and area of town would expect a better experience.

This was our first time here, we ordered the Chinese spoons (the waiter even replaced one that we were unable to eat with something else) and Rangoon crab for starters, BBQ salmon and mixed grilled seafood for mains, and the passion fruit creme brulee...and walnut ice cream for dessert, and honestly everything was delicious, we were worried about previous reviews but our fears were quickly washed away, with their great cocktails, served in their unique cups! It is on the expensive side, but it was all very enjoyable. The staff were very polite and attentive. The interior is very quirky and they pull it off very elegantly. Definitely planning to go again.

Good News : Not Dated and Certainly not Authentic Bavarian Thank Goodness It is Tiki My favorite Trader Vic’s in the World ... but I have not visited all of them. I sure would like too. Note ... the Tiki Experience is...meant to be FUN. TV’s cocktails are outstanding and the Polynesian Style Tiki food is tasty and as should be, FUN. I stop here every time I visit Munchen... that is once per quarter, ever since If I am traveling alone (on business) I will sit in the bar area (most of the time). I have worked my way through all of the cocktails. My favorites are Mai Tai, Tiki Puka Puka, Suffering ****, Zombie and Navy Grog. Food wise... crispy duck, egg roll, Peking soup and green papaya salad...

Had to go to the restaurant section to find out what the deal was with the tables near the bar after being ignored around near the stairwell for a while. When finally seated by a seemingly mute member of staff, we weren't given any menus....Another member of staff gave us some menus after or minutes (none in English available, by the way). After we'd chosen a drink we waited a further minutes to not be served (whilst the staff at the bar were just chatting away) and attempts to attract attention were roundly ignored. In the end, we walked out without ordering anything, and wished another couple looking lost and also getting no service good luck... I've been to a number of Vic's, and this was...
