really tasty eating with great selection of sweet. gravy is excellent. service excellent, friendly and efficient. pudding was also great.

Inexpensive fried dishes available during the week, as well as a quick carvery option for those in a hurry. The food is not gourmet quality.

Unfortunately our meat was really fatty and the roast potatoes were hard such a shame as it is usually my mum favourite restaurant she is 83 and we took her there as a treat.

Our waitress was polite and friendly but the food was really sub standard. Yorkshire's were dry, mash was grey, peas dried out, cauli over cooked and everything was Luke warm. All sauces except mini sauce were empty but the surface was clean so someone had checked it recently!

My family and I try to visit Harlow Toby restaurant together about once a month. This visit was similar to our previous experiences. The food was good overall, but some of the desserts could have been warmer if they were covered while there was no one in line. Additionally, this time my roast pork was very dry. Despite these issues, we were still satisfied with our meal and overall had a positive experience.

Booked two tables of five as the system didnt let me book any bigger tables. I popped in this morning to see if we could sit together as it was my dads birthday. Couldn’t all sit together as can’t guarantee tables will be near each other either. Bit disappointed as we had to sit on two tables. . Potatoes were hard and the stuffing had the consistency of cement, mask was like wallpaper paste. Very disappointed.

Having visited this restaurant many times and found it to be good value and welcoming I was disappointed to visit yesterday and find poor food and very slow service. The waitress was not at fault, she was running around doing the best she could, it seemed they were understaffed. When we went up for our food there were several dishes of shrivelled up, dried out vegetables and the meat was adequate but not much of it. Really disappointing.

The meat at this restaurant is cut so thin you could read a newspaper through it. Don't even think about asking for it to be cut thicker, as the staff guard it like their own treasure. The abundance of vegetables makes up for the small portions of meat, and the wait staff are friendly. However, the carvers seem more like trainee samurai and tend to carve the meat until there is nothing left on the bone. Many people in line shared this opinion, especially when a young carver with impressive knife skills appeared. Despite its quirks, the restaurant is always busy so it's worth giving it a try.

Absolutely dreadful experience. The serving spoon was burning hot under veg lights as veg was at the rear. Got terrible burn. It has given me a large blister. But worse is the attitude of the staff! When I was in distress asking for ice no one cared! It took 5 minutes of skin burning before somrone brought me a bucket of cold water. By now the damage had been done. Where was my apology? Where was the manager? Where was the legally required Accident book? Where was the First Aider? No one took my details. All I got was looks from ignorant staff .
