Great friendly service in comfortable outdoor space, simple good food for everyone, vegetarian and vegan, lovely coffee

Called in for coffee and teacake. Unfortunately encountered surly and grubby staff. Dirty bunting hanging everywhere in the garden area. Very disappointed.

Such a lovely friendly cafe. Had lovely breakfast and coffee this morning, cakes looked amazing will return snd try them next time. Really lovely atmosphere and so nice to see happy helpful staff!! Thank you Voir le carte

Toast is a very lovely little cafe. Really nice atmosphere and staff that seem like they want to be here! We had breakfast and it was very nice and coffee good too. We would recommend Toast and for those passing through Honiton on the way...to Cornwall it is the perfect stop for something nice to eat.

Been going to Toast many times over years, always ok but not today after work -had to wait ages for cheese /tomato Toasty had to ask how much longer wait as had drunk my coffee which was not that hot -tomatoes in toasty were cold.... The lady when i paid could not have cared less. Was very disappointed will use coffee tea place further up high street in future.

After finding this cafe on TripAdvisor, my dad, brother and I all stopped by as we were visiting nearby. We were not disappointed, greated as soon as we walked in and seated, ordered and our breakfast was shortly with us. Wonderful, filling food that was...made with care. Not dripping in crease, all cooked to perfection. Will definitely be visiting again if in the area. Highly recommended. Great coffee too Voir le carte

We found Toast quite by accident, needing to stop off for a bit of lunch on our way home to Cornwall. And what a find it was. Very friendly staff, a pleasant atmosphere and the fact that we had the last table available showed how...popular it is. The food was superb; ham, egg and chips with ham that was cut delightfully thick and a generous helping of chips, and a brie and caramelised onion quiche with an enormous side salad. The prices were very reasonable, and I've paid more for service station sandwiches and coffee. Though Honiton is not on our usual route when travelling, Toast could well make it become so.

The waitress is a killer! First words were (without look up from what he was doing), if you want food it'll be a minute wait'. So I waited for her to take my order while she prepared an order for another customer. When she...returned from serving she repeated it'll be at leat minutes if you want to order food' So I said Did you hear me complain? She eventually took my order. Sat at our table when she came to clear away the next table, whose occupant had asked for more butter, to which she replied I thought you had enough butter . He told me later that he had gone to the counter to collect something and the waitress looked up and demanded to know what he was doing there! Fab. Will def visit a...

Under the previous owners, this used to be a lovely place for lunch, with delicious food. Sadly, today was a very different story... The ham cheese toasty only had a very thin piece of very salty ham with one slice of cheese, it was...very dry and clearly had no butter on the outside part, before going in the toasty machine. The garnish' was a thimble size portion of grated carrot red cabbage, no salad garnish or dressing. The cheese tomato sandwich had no butter on the bread, very thinly sliced tomato and very little cheese and very dry again no salad garnish or dressing and another thimble sized carrots/red cabbage.
