Fantastic one night stay. Very well appointed, comfortable room with no less than 13 plug sockets spoilt for choice! Staff very friendly and dinner was excellent. Great beer selection always a bonus…

I went to this restaurant for Mothers Day lunch and found the food to be very tasty. I ordered the lamb roast and the meat was delicious, and the Yorkshire pudding was huge! The meal was served quickly and the staff were very friendly.

book for overnight. unfortunately are eating and breakfast is not available on Monday and Tuesday. bedrooms are excellent. modern, very clean and very well ordered. the pub side has an excellent selection of beer and real ales. the staff is very nice and helpful. Voir le carte

Bar staff were incredibly friendly and service was excellent! the atmosphere is beautiful and together with the friendly service makes for a very welcoming pub! I had cajun chicken here, which was very pleasant and a good part. my room here was also beautiful; clean, comfortable bed and nice bathroom with a good shower! a very positive experience!

really nice pub, large interiors, lots of space to eat and drink. friendly service and delicious food. we ordered the rindburger and fish and chips, both excellent, especially the burger. my only critique of fish and chips was somewhat salted for me. it was also a scandal that a lonely drunker spoke to himself in the bar that ruined the atmosphere.

We dine at The Wellington at least once a month and have always been satisfied with the food and service. However, during our last visit, we were approached by a waiter just as we finished our meal. She informed us that she needed our table for a large party and requested us to move immediately. Despite our intention to leave soon, she insisted that we move right away. This left us feeling unsettled as we found ourselves standing at the bar with our drinks and children in tow. It was a disappointing experience with unexpected and bizarre behavior from the staff. Came here and ordered a beef roast, beef was lovely even though sometimes it would take a good 10 minutes to chew through a bite, and my Yorkshire pudding was filled with oil, other than that beef roast was nice. My boyfriend bought the lamb roast for £21 and after removing the fat there's was hardly any meat (shown in photo) it actually looks a lot bigger in the photo as well, was about two bites worth of lamb. There was also about one piece of cauliflower cheese on his plate. No mint sauce and hardly any gravy. Can I just also say I've come here before and it wasn't this bad.

what a warm and friendly welcome we received when we first went to the wellington and the strong customer service continued during our stay. we did not know, however, that on Monday and Tuesday night no breakfast was available and that the website did not clarify this to my opinion. that said the location was great, with a very regular bus service to the city very close. a beautiful room with a really good shower and no noise from the nearby road we are another ground, still with four stars after the disappointment of not going to eat. a special thank you to tobias who helped sort our frustrations and help to enjoy our stay.

My group of three had a reservation made online a few days in advance, and we dined at the restaurant after attending a nearby football match. The food was generally excellent, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We ordered three main courses and three pints of beer/cider, and the total bill came to around £65, which was quite reasonable. One small issue: I wonder if the chef considers that not everyone may enjoy vinegar on their salad. I personally dislike vinegar, yet my salad arrived drenched in it without any prior inquiry. The young waitress was apologetic, and although I managed to pass it off to a friend, it still left me wondering why this was not confirmed beforehand. Ove... Voir le carte
