Excellent food and wonderful friendly atmosphere. Always a pleasure to eat here. Sharon and Mark always make you feel like your visiting friends so welcoming.

Lovely meal. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. The prawn cocktail was so tasty and the cream and tarragon sauce with the monkfish was gorgeous.

The food here is spectacular but the service is soooooo sloooow. Arrived at 5.30 still waiting for desserts at 7.15 PM. The wait for food is too long. Need more staff. It's a shame because it could be a really good place to eat if they sped up a bit

Wow, what an incredible discovery! I dined at this restaurant tonight with my partner and parents, and we had a truly delicious meal. The pies were outstanding, filled with a generous amount of steak. My partner tried the fish and chips and loved it. Can't wait to come back again!

I tried the Chilean Sauvignon Blanc for my first glass of wine, and found it barely drinkable. I decided to switch to a medium-size (175 ml) glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc for the next round. However, I was shocked to see that it cost £9.30! I thought it must have been a mistake, but unfortunately it wasn't. While I understand that prices have increased, this pricing is unreasonable and excessive.

At first glance, this restaurant may seem like a typical pub, but don't be fooled by appearances. The surprise of the delicious food, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere makes it a fantastic dining spot. I tried the braised lamb in red wine gravy with a suet crust, roasties, and fresh mixed vegetables which was outstanding. The beef and jail ale pie was also top-notch. The homemade custard tart was delectable, although I believe it would be better paired with a lighter accompaniment than the thick clotted cream. Personally, I would prefer ice cream or a raspberry sorbet. Overall, I had a great experience here and I wish it were closer to home. I highly recommend this place. Voir le carte
