Great place to socialise, especially outside. No loud music, fantastic pizza, and cold beer.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the overall atmosphere of the pub. The burgers were particularly outstanding!

Best pizza in Hitchin. Burgers not so great (but that's probably on me not appreciating a patty being squished to its thinnest).

Tried to contact pub regarding wheelchair access. All you get is the answer machine, you leave a message but no one rings you back

This pub looks unassuming from the entrance but has an amazing atmosphere with fantastic food and drink with a surprisingly large beer garden

The pub has a great and enjoyable ambiance. The atmosphere is really nice and friendly, with live music to add to the fun. The pizzas are very delicious.

the vic is really special, the charm of the layout, outside and the spirit of the team is not the second. with constant music evenings in the run of the year, I would check this place for drinks, eating or some incredible local musicians

Simply, always the best pub in Hitchin. Fabulous food, great atmosphere, friendly attentive staff who really seem to enjoy working there. Family friendly too...we go at least once a month with our 2 children (under 11 years) we take all our family and friends here. Even through the pandemic, and now the Vic remains the best pub in Hitchin.

a Sunday lunch. first visit and was very impressed. it looks tiny from the outside, but it is like a tardis! cozy inside and a beautiful outside area with pizza oven and kitchen, beautiful lighter and much seating. we sat inside through the cozy fire. the roasts were delicious and beautiful served, the cauliflower cheese was lush and huge! pizza was huge and delicious. service friendly and efficient. looks like they make many different themed evenings like quizzen and music. will surely return.
