Stayed at the attached hotel and ate here and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food presentation and welcoming staff! Two course meal couldn’t manage the desert despite them looking appealing.

Walked in and was going to eat but that plan was dashed at the first hurdle…. The place smelt damp and the guy behind the bar was so unwelcoming and rude when we bought drink…. Needless to say we didn’t eat, won’t be going back…

Dropped in for a few drinks while walking around Barrow. Very tidy and clean venue, not been here before and the service was very good. No cask beer but the lager options were very good and well looked after. Wine was very good as well, apparently.

We hired the mezzanine for a surprise 50th party, it is the perfect space for around 30-35 people, lovely atmosphere, seating. Food was lovely we had pie and peas all hot. Access to the bar and restrooms was easy. Overall a lovely night enjoyed by all.

Visited for 2 nights, lovely room although being on front of the building very noisy from the street below so can’t have the windows open. Was very warm in the room definitely needed a lighter duvet but very clean and tidy. We ate downstairs both nights and can’t fault the food. Drinks/cocktails were amazing and the members of staff A*. Would definitely come back :

Had a mocktail masterclass and meal at the Townhouse for my daughter’s 12th birthday and honestly could not fault anything. Accommodated such a large group of girls no problem! The whole afternoon was brilliant, excellent service with the meals and the food was lovely! Special mention has to go to Aaron who looked after our group so well, from making the mocktails with them all to making sure all our meals were out. Always checking everything was ok and doing as much as he possibly could. He made the afternoon run so smoothly, we are so grateful! Aaron is a credit to the Townhouse team! Special thanks also to Matt for looking after our booking!

Firstly our starters arrived and one of the Vegan starters were still frozen!. Then I was given a dirty fork, I asked for some clean cutlery which was replaced with another dirty fork, she then replaced it with a clean folk no napkin or knife. When we received our mains, one of the party was still eating her starter and they tried to give her the main. I had spaghetti and meatballs when I cut into the first meatball it was still RAW! Which is major worrying especially being heavily pregnant. One main didn’t turn up, then we were told the pizza wasn’t cooked properly and the middle had fallen out. When the pizza finally arrived, that wasn’t cooked in the middle either! And then finally one of...

AVOID this place at all cost !!! No exaggeration I have never eaten anywhere with as many mistakes as this place. Me and my friends chose to eat here as it stated on the menu it offered gluten free options, upon arrival we all ordered starters and mains, all the starters arrived eventually.... then onto the mains !!! a heavily pregnant friend was served two lots of filthy cutlery starts to eat her food to find the meatballs where completely raw, we had frozen vegetables served,a pizza that looked like it hadn't even entered the oven and then the icing on the cake my gluten free friend had started to get a severe reaction, which made it quiet clear to us her food had been contaminated with gl...
