"I visited the top chippy in Porthleven on Sat 30th Jan and must say it is the best fish and chips I have ever had. The food was all cooked fresh while you wait and I tell you it was well worth the wait, my wife had the homemade chicken curry !!WOW!! she said better then the local curry house we go to, not too hot but just right. This place has a lot to offer on their menu especially for vegetarians which is great as I have not seen a lot on offer in other chip shops THE TOP CHIPPY in PORTHLEVEN is a must visit if you like hot fresh food, looking forward to the next visit."

had cod and chips yesterday (good Friday,) which were the best we ever visited in the 9 years porthleven! such fresh fish with delicious teig and chips, cooked to order and excellent value for money.

I love the fish and had a high quality sausage, but the chips were a little on the well cooked side of the dinge, it was late in the day though. service was quick and friendly and we would definitely return for another help.

one evening after the test, visited twice before to find it only at 8 o'clock. I bought the cod and chips and two separate cod. the cod was quite good and directly boiled, in a light teig that was not too fat. there were enough chips in the two portions to walk four of us easily. kabeljau and chips twice plus two additional cable costs £20 and was good value for money. I wish the place would open a little later.
